I feel like this is the most effective way to play dh for me as well, melee range. Specially if you are going spike trap+ guardian turret.

Glad I found this thread, great service you are providing here Dark. Anyway, I was wondering if you had any suggestions for me Dark. My goal is to get higher EHP while sacrificing as little dps as possible (duh!) I already gave up about 2-3k and I'm trying to keep my unbuffed at least 170k, thinking of just swapping out all of the emeralds in my chest for amethysts (recognize anything? :D) to raise my ehp for now. I've been experimenting with Bola Shot+Spike Trap and going tanky/defensive passives like you do as well as Entangling shot with cull the weak and marked for death and keeping the guardian turret though my ehp is not high enough i think to handle this build in crazy situations in higher MPs. My main dilemma is basically is where do you think it'd be more economical/efficient to get vit or all res? Still wishing for dat high dps w/ vit or all res hellfire but if it doesn't happen I'm going to have to resort to the AH/jsp to solve that problem. My trifecta ring 80 dex 21 ar 7/29/4 seems to be outdated now. Fiending for IamAI's Vile Wards and nats boots right about now I would also love to get my hands on a good rev bow or WF to test out, I've been a xbow man my entire DH career some people like strats others like les pauls for any musical people out there hehe.

Run short dense routes on the highest MP level you can 1 shot everything on, speed > MF. Alk routes are nice.



There is really no economical way to get vit/res on a DH in end game tbh, basically look to get res on slots you can't get 200 vit on. I'm selling my DH to build a monk as I kind of feel like I've done all I can do with it for now, just have bows and my legacy set left.

I was thinking about swapping out my lacunis to strongarm bracers with high dex / high all res. It will be a sacrifice of a few thousand dps in exchange for more defense like armor / all res / a bit more life. Then I thought about it and the most important part of lacunis for me was the attack speed. I currently attack at 1.99 and I already feel that is way too slow. Without lacunis, the attack speed drops down to 1.84. My main concern with the change is not the drop in dps but rather the drop on my attack speed. Any inputs on whether or not to make this swap?

Not a strongarm fan you can get much better stats on rares. Can you gain attack speed elsewhere?

This is true, but that seems like a good rule of thumb. So I guess I should search for high AR ring and high VIT ammy. I got your dex/ar/vit chest instead of a high vit one to make up for the low all res on my gloves. Long ways down the road maybe I could get dex/vit/ar witching hour but it would have to have high ias and crit dmg because it seems like thats the only way it will out dps the inna's favor with 2 piece bonus. Gearing DHs and Monks is quite difficult, good luck on your monk project! Will contact you or IamAI for gear once I get a decent budget to work with, still deciding wether I want any pickup radius as I hardly ever run vengeance anymore.

If you're playing SC and you want to lose some EHP you can buy Inna's Pants+Belt, gives you a nice amount of damage.
You can change your Manticore but you should at least found a 2sox with 1100+ DPS and 100+ Dex i guess.

Just tried Windforce over Manticore. I dropped 30k dps, but the survivability seems to be worth it.
I have to move around a lot less, which allows me to attack more.

Are there any Bows that are highly recommended? Maybe a rare one with crit+socket?
Also any alteration recommendations in my gear? I'm a little low on res with only around 320 resistances.

300 res is standard for Dh's, and your 5k above average dh life.
the 2h bow region is kinda lack luster at the moment but imo a rare would need these stats

I was thinking to use Calamity soon (fast attack speed lover) and wanted to break the 3 APS wall (atm 2.11)

I guess most important changes would be Amu + Bracers... what do u think?
