why not reroll 2ndary to like life per kill or pickup raadius?

I'd go for 15% life instead of armour, with bis gear you'll need life% on shoulders and belt, possibly chest too.

Why would life after kill or globe radius be better than 15% life?

Depends. Do you have issues with toughness or regen?

life per kill is actually pretty good, makes up a load of regain without people realizing
but yeah normally 15% life will be better

5k life per kill
500 enemies in a 5m rift

=8333 life per second

Pros
Guaranteed to happen in combat unlike life per second which waists itself between fights
More effective the more enemies there are (scales with the difficulty of situations)

Cons
Unregular/hard to predict at times
Not very effective against smaller numbers of enemies (elite packs on their own/rift boss)

The pros and cons almost cancel each other out imo, would evaluate it pretty close to 8333 life per second

Life per kill is nice, it's good to roll on a belt if you have dex, vita, all res and like 11% life in there but no useful secondaries.

However, I wouldn't take it over any useful primary.

I have a decent amount of life per kill but it's not something that can be depended on. If I can survive from that and then a rift guardian or elite pack smashes me, what use it is?

However 15% life... Which is then factored into resists and armor...

If I only had 600k life 15% would be 90k life gain.

But that 90k is before armor or res or elite damage reduction.

So 90k with 84% reduction x 80% reduction x 15% elite reduction is actually a gain of 3,308k... Or 3.3 million toughness.

sorry but this is wrong
15% life only gives you 15% if you have no other life% and you're not going to have 600k life without any
also life getting multiplied by mitigation works exactly the same for life regen

Anyway I wasn't trying to argue for any specific situation just point out the usefulness of life per kill, luckily you don't have to choose between this and primary stats and will probably end up with a fair bit anyway just focusing on primary
Just don't reroll life% to vit for a couple of extra % for example if you don't have good secondary stats
Or switch item without factoring it in

I already factored for that... My monk has almost 900k life
