As for defensive stats - to use storm armor you gotta have at least ~850 all res and closer to 5k armor otherwise you will get fried by reflects. Get +armor and all res on boots, on witching hour, on tal rasha chest. Get all res on blackthorne pants. Try to get all res on jewelry too. All res trifecta gloves is the most expensive piece.

There is a dagger that is godly for this build, it's used by Frostburn - no1 wizard and no1 diablo character in the world. So yea, better leave your dreams about finding smth like that for 1-2 years.

You should really get more ias. Like get at least one 9 ias jewelry slot. I suggest you change zunimassa's pox for 9 ias 4,5 crit chance ring, you will lose paper dps, but you will gain more utility and effective dps. Change magic weapon to Slow Time - Time Stretch, try to reach 2,74 aps in Slow Time bubble, that your goal. Get at least 45% total critical chance and more resists everywhere.

Okay so I took some of your advice. I've got 2.98 aps with Slow Time. Am I right by using Wicked Wind? I rarely see critical hits and I've got 52% chance.

i really respect your opinion, but imo you are too narrow in the way of thinking that there is only one build.
You dont need to use the bubble, and 2,73 is a more than viable breakpoint, giving you at least a tiny bit of build flexibility in terms of a free skill slot.

In terms of life... If you plan on playing high mps and mp10 ubers, you DO need a good amount of life, since you will ALWAYS receive burst dmg from time to time, and its fucking annoying to die to this all the time.
Versus Magda and Skeleton king you are food with 30k ish life, at least thats from what i experienced from ~80 uber runs with several different other sorcs.
And you dont get fried by reflect packs with less than 5k armor, i can definitely say that. Especially if you do not use diamond shards. With shards you have to be quite careful ofc.
In terms of resis i totally agree, although i think 800ish is sufficient. Ringwise i would go for a zuni+unity combo, so leaving a ring without res but a bunch of super important other stats. (Again, only one possible choice).

a zuni with IAS is waaaay too expensive, and is this 800res buffed or unbuff?? im a bit short on res atm but my armor is pretty good and having it more balanced is actually better..

& now ive got some questions about archon build

I picked up a cheap butchers sickle for lifesteal/black dmg and picked up a triumvirate

now just wondering whats the optimal way to gear for archon .. like is IAS important or whats the ideal build.. just stack cc/chd/int and destroy?

& what passives?

I think ill use a SOJ too for melting elites even faster

800res ofc unbuffed, since you "should" use storm armor shocking aspect, since it adds a massive load of dps. Therefore you need alot of res pieces, as mad already stated.
There are many options in terms of zuni ring, but it all comes down to where you want to get your ias from.

For archon i just switch butchers+trium as well.
Dont use a soj, since 80% of the time you kill trash, where soj is completely useless, then rather use a hellfire ring or leorics ring.
IAS is important since archon ticks scale with aps.
If you have a half decent cm set, just switch weap+offhand and skills, and then farm mp1 with ease... At least thats my opinion.
I have ~270k dps in archon setup, and with that its just dead easy, elites die in a matter of a second.
Passives i use glass cannon, critical mass and galvanizing ward, since i dont want to escape archon form after every 2 mins to recast armor.
In archon you go storm armor scramble for improved movement speed

white trash dies in an instant with/without soj but yea maybe ill use a hellfire instead

and yea ive been doing mp1.. nice when i jus want to thro on some music and farm one handed haha

and i get like 192k buffed atm.. and trash dies as soon as i touch it and elites take 2-3 secs

and yea galv ward makes sense since magic weap / familiar both are 4-5 mins

I still need to improve my resists/armor.. i just picked up a pretty good defensive witching hour (116str, 95int, 60 all res, +206 armor ) so im on my way
