Not sure what Res to commit to. Only lvl 51 atm, but I have 2 decked toons already at 60. I got all the mechanics and skills down for monk, just not sure what res to pick up.


What Res have you guys found the easiest on AH to search for for Monkys

They say fire messes better with legendaries and such


i went arcane because my buddy gives me his hand me downs for free and he is arcane

I chose arcane because the first big ticket item I found had arc res and it went from there. I see alot of poison monk stuff on here fyi.

I run fire and it sucks. People buy it up so quickly! I dont know where the competition comes from... Although some legendaries do offer fire resist as a standard, they aren't that great... With exception to my firewalkers the most common high end monk items I see are:
1) poison
2) arcane/lighting
I don't see a lot of cold either, not sure why :/

dont forget about physres it scales with the passive too

ppl buy fires because, desecrators, molten, mortars and many of the demon's attacks are fire based, therefore fire res is needed and appreciated also by all the other classes! (babas in first)

when did they change mortar to fire dmg as long as i can remember it has been physical dmg

whatever, other affixes are enough to make fire res the most wanted anyway.

desecration is standard damage
mortar is phys
even fire chains is standard damage (as dumb as it may sound...?)
only fire damage is molten i think...

imo go poison so you can utilize andy's helm.
