I can honestly say that every nerf Blizzard has implemented had nearly no effect one me (except for that Force Armor fiasco--which didn't anger me in the least, since it was expected) and that most of them I wholly agree with--if not all of them.
How does this not affect me? I play the game exactly like Blizzard expected us all to play; and I'm having fun doing it. I'm not a fan of repetition, and clearing the same place over and over again (whatever it may be) is practically the definition. I would honestly rather clear an entire act than to to copy&paste one portion of that act in a cycle of never-ending disappointments and cries of, "crappy rares, crappy mobs, crappy life."
NV makes this prospect very appealing. You would profit much more if you were to continue killing elite mobs (and norms) after you've killed the boss--since with 5 NV, elites are almost guaranteed to drop rares or some valuables. You don't need to farm for those 5 NVs every time you create a new game. This is very simple. This is how Blizzard is eventually going to force all players to play like. There is no alternative.
As for those who say that they feel the need to exploit the game mechanics due to time-management issues:
If you work over 8 hours a day, this game isn't for you. It requires time. It requires you to spend most of your free day playing just so that you can still see the goal--if you care for such things.
If, on the other hand, you don't have the time, and yet you really, really like the game:
The answer is simple, one might say: play the damn game. It's fun like that. Farming the same fucking basement over and over again (until you desire death to your own physical person) is not fun and is a terrible way to spend your free time
Thank you; and flame away, young padawans.
agreed vouch rep +1 etc.
