I personally also wouldnt want the guild wars approach either,...... coming out with an expansion every time someone cries so they can support there non paying game.

If Diablo 3 is not pay to play, I give it a few months before it turns into the shit hole that d2 did.

the only fucking games that are pay 2 play are games that you download FREE and PAY for INGAME ITEMS which is OPTIONAL. maplestory-pay for cash shop items. runescape- pay for membership. neopets - pay for neopoints or w.e they use, those games arent p2p, theyre pay for extras or dont pay, dont get the extra shit, but still get the game
so far ive never seen a game that didnt go like that. all your paying for in those games is your electricity bill
Blizzard is already eating lobster in their mansion while swimming in a indoor pool, 10-15 each fucking player? with how many people who play so far? making it p2p would make 80% their players quit, and the other 20% working overtime or going into their moms purses.

you already pay to BUY this game, you really need to pay to PLAY this game?

I'm not paying $60 to buy a game, then $15 a month just to play it.
That's why I don't play WoW, that's why I don't play Lineage.
It's stupid.
If a person owns a website that sells D3 items, and is making money off of it, they won't be afraid to pay $15 a month to spam it around.

over 12million active WoW accounts arround the world(last time i checked)

so thats 12millions vanilla, 12 million tbc 12 millions wotlk and soon 12millions of cataclism

so lets say expention cost only 25$ (and thats fking me being nice, cause they are like 50$ when they come out i know right)

so, 36 000 000x25$

so you already got 900 000 000$$$ just from that,

then you get the 15$ per month

thats 12 000 000x15=180 000 000

every month so for a year 180 000 000x12=

2 160 000 000+ 900 000 000=3 060 000 000USD per year

thats not including the shit fucking ton load of money they made just a few months ago with the release of starcraft 2 (wich is i believe 70ish dollars for the retail copy)

and also not including server change, name change, race change, and all the other stupid 25$ features of WoW

and wait, dont expect d3 to be only like 30-40$, it will be like sc2, prolly 65-75ish

and ofcourse d3 will have expention and items to buy for real currency....

i wouldnt say blizzard NEEDS to make this game P2P seriously

i'm myself at college i have a shit load of stuff to spend my cash on b4 i can think about paying 200+ $ a year just to have the right to log into a game that i previously paid 75$ for lol
