It seems all Blizzard wants to do is take what everyone loved about D2 and trash it.

People are going to be good because they spent a lot of time playing, not because they know they're doing.
The gap between the Noobs and the Pro's is disappearing because Blizzard wants to play the fair mommy card.

What about low and mid level dueling? there are a lot of different stat builds in that.

crazy dmg bow zon from dex
dueling barbs used str for max dmg
max block or max vit charcters
or es sorcs
or a max block sorc hybird
wanna be different and make a warcry barb?
you can literally even make a melee necro if you wanted to.



There are times when you really were stronger than someone else because of stat points

you take all of this away when they did that. I strongly disagree with it but I will still obviously be playing d3

As if Diablo 2 had unique stat allocation anyway.  Every build went something like this: enough points into strength to wear final gear and the rest of the points into vitality.  The only exception to this was if you wanted max block or if you were a Sorceress, in which you would just add points into dexterity for the shield you want to use or add points into energy instead of vitality, respectively.  If anything, automatic stat allocation will make those who are simply better at it shine even more, as everyone will have the same stats and equal opportunity.
