The 'higher to push' thing is terrible end game design.
"Oh you cleared GR 85? Sweet... Now do 86 I guess.... then maybe, 87? Someday, perhaps, 88!".
You said it yourself, you're a casual player. There is nothing wrong with that, but it is the reason Diablo 3 feels so good to you.
In Vanilla (which you said you didn't like in your OP), the game was only rewarding for those who put in the time. There was no instant gratification like there is now. NOW, you start a new season, play 5-10 hours a week and you're "holy fucking shit" tier geared in a month and feel super powerful. The game as it stands is about delivering quick happiness for casual players. Those casual players never really reach the TRUE end game which is running the same GR 102 over and over and over and over leveling gems to augment onto your gear slots.
Rare drops are useless.
99% of legenadaries are useless.
And of the 1% that have value, you only have a 10% of them rolling Ancient and being useful.
That sucks man. Maybe you should take a step back, go outside and get a breath of fresh air. Come back in, and try to appreciate what Blizzard has done. It took me a few years, but hey, it's fun, to me. Your opinions are yours. Not fact. *EDIT* : I mean, I can wrap my head around where you're going with this. I really can. But take D3 from where it was, to where it is now. It's light years better. Sure, they may have pulled a bit too much casual from WoW and pop culture. I'll concede that point. But I stopped raiding at a high level in WoW a few years ago when playing a video game 40+ hours a week became not only detrimental to my physical health, but to my gaming spirit as well.
Sometimes it's good to just drop things, and not dwell and bitch about things you literally can't change. Blizzard has done a tremendous job of listening to the community, and I'd imagine, will continue to do so. If you're too thick-headed to realize what a task they've had to undertake, well, that sucks. Take games like the Bethesda franchise, or CoD, or any other mainstream "Triple A title"... they all have serious shortcomings, or have evolved far beyond what we've known and love. Grow up and move on.

diablo 3 is so bad theres nothing they can do to fix it. people are always talking about stats and boring items and to easy. but really its more its the entire game. retarded interface, retarded graphic style (cartoon), retarded story, retarded voice actors, retarded monsters, retarded acts that are boring, bad level design, bad towns, bad skill tree and stat system, matchmaking, no duels, boring speed, and yes boring items.. theres more
i mean wow they could of made an improved sequel but instead remade diablo 2 to be really shitty.
d2 is an awesome game but i can think of many flaws. the quests could of been more fun. maybe expand on rpg elements. make talking to some npcs important, have more varied and interesting quests. have better acts (act 1 is really good but after that? not to great really. the towns are nice though) but instead d3 is like super bad. every content update or expansion is just adding a bunch of random shit and they say its fixed.
we could of had something really epic with d3, but instead its like a devolved version of d2 and super streamlined boring and nooby. we need some old blizz north members, and a couple guys that played a lot of diablo 1 and thousands of hours into d2 to be there. no blizzard employees allowed to work on game. outsource it to someone who knows better then them. for diablo 4 that is
The only thing I'll agree on is bringing back some Diablo, Blizzard North guys. That game set the bar with the brooding feel, ambience, punishing gameplay, and overall fun.
You've said retarded so much, I wonder if you just have a predisposition against autism because you're suffering from it.
