NO ONE took ut99 serious back in the day of arena shooters. quake was always the way to go, online and on tournaments. ut movement is way to easy and simple to take it serious. all you had to do is double press and there you go you were moving like a pro. quake on the other hand with plasma climbs, strafes, circle jumps, rocket jumps, promode 1 etc...

ut, cs were always the "diablo 3" of their time. so its kinda funny that people who played those games are making fun of diablo 3. :rolleyes:

Games like quake and ut ( always prefered ut ) were fun at LANs like half life too, but no way to take them serious in competitive
I've Seen many quake tournaments live, the last was IEM cologne 2011 or 2012 . Its good and entertaining but skillwise not comparable to cs

No a game isnt good because it has many Players, a game has many Players because its good. That's why d3 is dead, no one plays shitty games.
