Welp if one of the old D2 Team members is looking to make Bank they should be applying for a position

Let's look at it from this perspective Diablo 2 was the fastest selling game etc etc at the time of its release great game yes indeed it is, but the last statistic you can find is of 2001 it had sold around 4 million copies.

Call of duty for one would sell more than that on its release date regardless of what platform you play the game. companies only care about money you really think they will put investment an time in to redoing a quite frank dead 15 year old game when to be honest only its small cult of fans would purchase.

Regardless if you think it's better than Diablo 3 an if you think it's the best game ever games companies can simply develop other games which will make them far more profit. You may love the game but let's be frank no Diablo game is mainstream enough, any games designer worth any salt would be employed by these companies this I'm afraid is a pipe dream.

If your that concerned about not playing Diablo 3 an want an updated Diablo 2 your best bet is to find a decent mod an not purchasing Diablo 3 it's really not that difficult.
