I really hope there is some miscommunication here.. what your are proposing is rolling all of the damage of the weapon off, to get % damage, giving your weapon the DPS of a superior white item. It's literally the single worst decision you could make while rolling an item.

Luckily, your items aren't completely ruined. You can just take the highest damage roll you see, and they should be usable until you find new ones.

make sure you roll your IK weapon's damage roll to damage % when you get it to do 10% more dmg.

So you want to reroll 1000+ holy damage into 10% of 1500 normal damage?

There are guaranteed modifiers on weapons. One of them is + xxxx-xxxx damage I'm pretty sure. Have you ever rolled a 500 damage leg sword since like 4 patches ago? No, you haven't. Because its impossible. The enchant system follows the same rules to prevent stupidity.
