Guys, I am wondering. Already heard some opinions but thought it might be good idea to ask here. Is dual wield DH possible for full team, lets say MP5. Manti is so mainstream. ;p

I use a calamity and I love it


But to be honest, manti will always win high MP because of the huge amount of burst dmg... you cant really beat it

With that being said, I do just fine running my calamity on mp5 and below. I am at 132k unbuffed (about to get some upgrades), so its not too terrible

I have tried only with -cluster arrow skillcost. Since I am studying in China atm, I play with 350-500 ping, lost 2 chars from lags. So I had better take 2% Life regeneration. With a Barbs buff I have 5k regen.

general consensus is that 1H Xbow (Calamity) + Quiver (DML) is stronger than 2x 1handers.
This means you trade:

- 10% crit, lot of dext & vit + 20% IAS and a %skill bonus for 1H+ DML

vs

- crit damage (210 max) ,15% IAS and some dext + maybe +discipline. and LOH! only really good thing about DW is getting 900 - 1K free LoH. IF you can find a build which uses loh it can be great.

First option give more DPS in all calculators.

and yes Calamity is very good in high MP, you can build some very good tanking builds, like using Cluster grenades + nightstalker + calamity and sustaining 100% gloom uptime.

Very interesting... Im going to try ball lighting as a hatred dump and night stalker proc with bola being my main aoe damage. I really like the guardian turret plus bola but I'm not sure if I can keep up gloom and have enough disc to escape... Does turret dips proc nights talker?

I was running with HA + Ball Lightning (wearing Calamity) and Night Stalker and doing pretty well but the down side of this setup is low single target damage.
I'm testing right now Bola (Bitter Pill) + Rapid Fire (Fire Support) and I fell it work better than HA + BL. With Calamity I can aim Bola very fast, also Bitter Pill generate enough Discipline to switch Night Stalker to another passiv (for example Brooding, Archery) and ofc Rapid Fire do decent damage again single target.

What I'm thinking right now is switching Calamity to Manticore but I'm still not sure about this change:

Manticore
+ higher dps
+ less hatred cost when using Rapid Fire

Calamity
+ Marked for Death
+ faster Bola aiming -> more Discipline from Bitter Pill
+ can wear shield instead of DML (ofc if there are any rare shield better than DML)

If anyone already test those 2 items before, please give me some opinions and advice.

Manticore is imo better in low MP, when you have enough EHP to not worry about gloom

- Better ratio hatred spent/damage for most attacks (ball lightning, rapid fire, spike traps...)

- more Rapid fire uptime = easier hatred management, and you use less hatred generators like bola or HA, so you gain more eDPS by spamming more your main nuke (rapid fire)

- more burst damage

Calamity is not very far behind a manticore in term of damage, because a high lvl ruby will make its dps skyrocket (1700 dps+ calamity are boss), and then you add the mark.

ALso calamity is great for nightstalker, more attacks = more crits = more shadow power - gloom uptime. Also add archery 10% crit bonus and that's fine. So it's great for survival in high MP.
