now lets say you have in mind 900 dps echo with minimum 1.21 aps and socket so 100 cd, and minimum 150 str

vs 130 str 193cd 769dps dagger

at the moment your crit modifier for dps screen formula with 193cd dagger is 1+ (0.635 x 519) = 4.29
with 100cd on echo its 1+ (0.635 x 426) = 3.71

now your weapons dps

(a) axe + dagger = (1160/1.3 + 64) x 1.3 + (769/1.5 + 64) x 1.3 = 1243 + 865 / 2 = 1054 ave dps

(b) axe + echo = (1160/1.3 + 64) x 1.51 + (900/1.41 + 64) x 1.41 = 1444 + 990 / 2 = 1217 ave dps

comparing (a) and (b)

(a) 1054 x 4.29 = 4521
(b) 1217 x 3.71 = 4515

(these numbers are multiplied by str, off weapon ias, skill ed to get full screen dps, but the rest is fixed)

They seem pretty close, but you gain some str, average speed, and 5% dmg to the black dmg on echo. But you lose vit and 33% of your current life leech.

Unless you get a really high dps echo with both base cd and socket, I personally wouldnt go for it.

Very nice! Loving the consistent results. Glad you decided to take my recommendation of using a larger sample size. Still small, but the consistent results give a decent enough output to get a general idea of the damage % of RLTW w/ WW vs RLTW only. This can definitely be seen by the great responses from the JSP community in this post. Keep up the good work!

I would now use echoing fury with 900dps 150str as a reference point. Would need to get one which is better, if not would be sticking to my current offhand.

My target would be one with 1100dps, 150str with 40cd socket. Mind giving me the breakdown of how much dps that will improve for me? I might be able to afford that. Thanks a lot again.

Try a Ef out first, it may annoy you, however on oh it's not even close to as bad with the fearing

old dps fully buffed, if you want to include soj (you got the 265k from an online calculator didnt you? cuz it dont show up onscreen afaik)

1054 average weapons dps
23.28 str
1.67 ias
4.29 crit
1.15 battle rage
1.06 soj 6%
1.25 soj 25%

267861 dps, screen should display 215k fully buffed

new dps fully buffed with 1100dps, 150str 140cd echo

(1160/1.3 + 64) x 1.51 + (1100/1.41 + 64) x 1.41 = 1444 + 1190 / 2 = 1317 ave dps

crit 1+ (0.635 x 466) = 3.9591

(1317 x 3.9591 = 5214 compared to 45xx base before)

now you currently have 2228 str, you remove dagger 130 str and add 150str echo you got 2248 str = 23.48 modifier

1.67 ias from gear, wotb, dual wield
1.15 modifier from battle rage
1.06 soj
1.25 soj

5214 x 23.48 x 1.67 x 1.15 = 235116 x 1.06 x 1.25 SOJ = 311528 dps, screen should display 248kish fully buffed

Really appreciate your effort. I will keep that in mind. ^^

Losing a passive slot for lifeleech seems to lower my armour quite significantly. Maybe my current offhand would still be a better choice.

yep! would need some volunteers to extend the samples. If possible, i would need Skorn Barb to perform similar test!

(I dont understand, you are already using bloodthirst anyway?)
Armor is an integer, so it seems like a huge lot, but what counts is the final % dr achieved from it. The change is usually negligible. Whereas an extra 3% leech at 2xx + dps is invaluable. imo

So good luck with all you do, anyway ^^

its not as simple as that because only breakpoints count

1.66 x 1.67 = 2.772 aps = 6.67 tps
1.3 x 1.67 = 2.171 aps = 8.57 tps

He is still where he was with no ias dagger + axe

So you are wrong and your info is false, higher dps offhand echo vs ias dagger with lower dps will make a huge difference, definitely not the same result!

And also *JUST* in case you didnt notice what i posted before

if he gets the echo he wanted both his dps and average tickrate will go up over dagger + axe

also the dps portion of the offhand counts because of the raw damage contribution. not the actual dps with attack speed included, unless as i stated you are compromising your tickrate.

your point is moot
