include passive yes, but weapon master has effect only on primary hand... so you need an axe/mace on the hand, and everything you want on off-hand.
and with 2 weapons the attack speed % doesn't depend from the aps of the off-hand, so gearing a spear or a dagger is the same -on offhand-

yes, axe on 1h is better than a mace for the attack speed.
on off hand doesn't matter, spear is batter only for your money.. normaly swords/axes/daggers worth more becouse of the attack speed, but you dont need it, so feel free do save you money and buy a spear

it removes the packs from using knock back jailer frozen nightmare and a possibly a few other impairing things i didn't thinks of

the things to watch for when using this build/difficult mobs
include waller and sheilding and molten without mass res

Where do you get the majority of your LoH - particularly if you're using 1h and shield.

My weapon currently has 400 LoH.

its good to have a ouroboros ammy or an ammy with extra loh
ammys rings and weapons can all have loh
look for best combo to push you past 1k+
