yeah, my barb can steamroll a2 and makes a mockery of a1, but a3 i seem to die way too fast, here's my stats after battle cry + war cry

800 all resist
32k hp
35k dps
48% crit
310% crit damage
1.2k LoH
5k armour (this needs to be beefed up)

my main wep is 950 dps open socket axe with 70% crit gem
offhand is a 215 dps mighty weapon with 68% crit dmg 70% crit gem 700 LoH (which actually lowers my dps when i put it on =p)

More physical resist and fire resist. That's what I'm lacking to farm act 3 in under 2 hours WITHOUT deaths.

I just wanted to suggest Inna's Glory to go with Tyrael's Might. You can go with either strength or all res on them (whichever you're more in need of) with 130+ vit and 6% ias 7% movement speed and an extra little 1% crit.
I feel like that 7% movement speed is great for hitting that 25% movement speed hardcap from gear. And the extra ticks from the ias for nado with the 1 % crit make up for the loss of strength a little bit.
I at least think that they're a shit ton of fun to use ^_^ I fly through Act 3.

I'm also wondering if Bloodthirst is worth replacing Tough as Nails for barbs with <40k dps. I'm sitting at 32k dps, 44k hp, 700 res, and 7.3k armor (8k with enchantress) or 6k armor (6.8k with enchantress.
I'm farming Act 3 quite easily atm, but I'm wondering if losing that 1k+ armor will allow hardass mobs like phasebeasts and skull cleavers to pretty much 1-shot me.

And props on the guide ^_^

The main problem I'm seeing with most of your guys stats is very low damage, if you want to step into act 3 you should be rocking ~40k damage at least on the character screen. 800 all res and 40k ish life can get you started in Act 3 with great situational awareness and reaction time with that dmg assuming you have ~8% life leach (and maybe even some LoH gems in your weapons for the extra leach).

Whoever linked their gear, I noticed both of your weapons were maces. You want faster weapons for more ticks per tornado, and you definitely DO want to upgrade that offhand, it will help immensely. Just because your main ability is sprint and the tornadoes are supposedly only affected by your main hand weapon doesn't mean that you never use Whirlwind, if you're going to be stepping into act 3 or 4 you will in fact be whirlwind the majority of the time and the damage from it is most definitely noticeable and it's a very strong way to get more life leached. You have to consider a great offense to be the best defense and just charge in and steamroll everything while of course minding affixes from rare mobs and giant monsters dropping huge charge-up swings.

When upgrading your gear to step into act 3 and beyond it isn't economically efficient to blow money on the high price of LoH on a weapon, life steal weapons with a socket are much more affordable. At this point in the game you should be pulling 40k damage on the stat sheet before any buffs, for a barb that focuses 100% on damage and life steal 20k, 30k simply doesn't make the cut. It still is not cheap, however, to keep the all res above 800 (preferably 900 or 1k+ of course) and HP at a decent amount (~40k+). It is very cheap to be successful in act 1 and 2, act 3 and then act 4 are much different stories (which is why I state that this build is NOT overpowered, it takes a pretty penny and practice to make it seem like you can steamroll act 3 or 4 like many youtube videos)

Consider this... .8% life leach (2 weapons with at least 2.5% life leech and bloodthirsty passive) = 1.6% life leach assuming it is in fact correct that life leach is reduced to 20% of what you actually have while in Inferno. 1.6% of (40k+ battle rage + wrath of the berserker equating out to be around 70k dps) would be ~1120 life per hit. You can also get more life leach on a strong rare belt.

For anyone thats played any sort of RPG like wow you can give players the best build and the best gear and they can still get smashed because they haven't practiced and learned how to properly use that character.

Also... Less life most definitely does not mean LoH is better. In the idea of percentage it is (1k life on hit could be 50% of your health globe if you only have 2k hp, while 1k life on hit is only 10% of your health globe if you have 10k hp)
You need enough life and all res to survive a few nice hits, but enough life leach and damage to use that life leach well enough to get that HP back before the next round of large hits.

The double nado build you say this is, it is not. The double nado build uses the tornado rune for ww not hurricane.
Your tornados spawned from spirit only use your main hand damage.

And I didnt read the whole wall of text I only read the first and last sections which are both wrong.

GL!

Sorry, but this is just laziness. If you're too lazy to read the whole thing, perhaps you shouldn't be commenting on it. This is a great guide and truly useful for the noobs out there just getting started on the dual nado barb. And you're actually wrong about the tornado rune. Dino was the original inventor of this build and he uses the hurricane rune. The double tornado name is based on metaphorical concept (i.e. you spawn tornados while sprinting and you yourself are considered another tornado while wwing). Please make sure arrogance and ignorance are not causing you to blindly respond incorrectly.

Great Guide, Tyrannical! Wish I had this when I started my dual nado barb!

The reason you dual wield is because you get the + 15% attack speed bonus. The higher your attack speed the more ticks you get from your tornadoes.

Got it. But what happens if a shield is used on the offhand instead of a weapon? Does it cut the ticks in half since WW alternatives between main/off?

Also, how does this affect Sprint and the number of nados?

I read somewhere that a shield does cut your ww damage in half for that reason, i dont know if someone was just talking out of their ass though but it could make sense, dont quote me on it though. If you are curious buy a cheap decent crit shield and give it a go! If you do try this i would love to hear back.

And it doesnt affect number of tornadoes but rather how many times each tornado ticks during its lifespan (contrary to the belief of some it does not affect how long the tornadoes stay up) because of the attack speed.

Run speed supposedly has a breakpoint where you can drop 5 tornadoes instead of 4. Would love confirmation on this if anyones done it.

It's very simple, it's just not cheap to do without sacrificing other stats for more str, anything under 1k isn't gonna work out too well >.<
