Blizzard has said they haven't found a single case of someone being hacked while using the authenticator. So there's that.
The whole problem with this statement is getting booted and some one changing your pass word is not suspicious to Bnet unless you instantly click onto your email account and click the I did not change my pass word email they send. and even if you do this fast they can still clean a lot of your stuff out. the authenticator kicks in for suspicious activity in the RMAH read up on it it's not really for your over all account and by the time it were to kick in the hacker could have cleaned you out simple fact. All they have to do is buy items not Xfer the cash out. then move said items to another account and every thing is gone.If you buy items regularly off the AH then Bnet will NOT flag it as suspicious activity.
I just added the ground line Pin authenticator and it clearly states that your account will be tep. locked if there is any suspicious activity in the RMAH not in general on your Bnet account.
