Rest in peace my hardcore monk on Xbox one. Tried a GR 29 and only LvL 48 paragon never been online except to update. It's hard to find a console build gonna start over tonight if anyone has some advice on how similar the build are between PC and new gen consoles

-> so what combo should I be using to farm T6? EP + Bell or EP + Cyclone strike?

-> and which EP is better? Lightning or Cold EP. Lightning spreads faster (which might cause more explsion damage overall) but less single target explosion damage. Cold has higher explosion damage but cant spread as fast.

I feel like cold is good until boss then lighting Is better I remade my monk and up to 58 paragon and I love cold because I can target a easy target and take out some of the ones with higher life.but when I get to the boss cold EP is weaker unless I have mobs rallied around it

Yesterday i did a few (high) hc Grift between 38 and 40 in a group of 3, the group was a dh, a raekor barb and me.

First few Grifts i was using lightning palm + wave of light (im using 1h's) and my dmg from wave of light barely did anything at those levels( only crits ~70 mil), so after a bit of thinking and trying out stuff i chose cyclone strike wall over bell to control the mobs and make my palm more effective, this worked really well.

Can any of you guys tell me how high your wave of light crits are because i cant imagine doing anything over 35 solo with the dmg im getting from wave of light, althou most of the monks i inspect are using the incense torch.

I have 2 questions:

1. Why do some people play lightning monk and others fire?
2. How much CDR is enough? Im at 52 atm

anyway EP + Bell is best
would only swap bell for cyclone in high gr with party

non ladder=lightning palm
ladder+gungdo= either (cold?)

Helm Diamond 12.5%
Paragon 10%
Gloves 8%
Shoulders 8%

that's all you really have room for on a bell char but should aim for all of it
46-47% real reduction
also i don't think you ever can spam lighting bell constantly

i remade one of my monks into high CDR (71 % now) lashing tail - palm and its very good. gonna try to squish another 10 % for perma serenity and try cold tempest with one-handers

I love me some cold tempest 1 handers.

GR46 so far... I wasn't to find a better ammy and go for 47

If I build up + lightning skill dmg is sweeping wind with cyclone rune effective still?
