Either it's pay to win or nolifers win.
Removing trading didn't get rid of botting, and nolifers will always dominate the "leaderboards" so it was a very stupid decision.
Rng determines what kind of rift you'll get, so it does play a huge part in it.
theres a big difference between no lifers and botters. sry, but no lifers are set to win because they have more seat time and that is a good thing. its the only way to win with rng unless you get lucky. so ya, someone
with more time played will have better odds of having better items and therefore will end up with better items. makes complete sense to me...
and ya, if you want to be competitive, you need to put in the seat time...
right rng does determine the rift, but thats common to all players therefore fair"ish". same way all players can quit game and remake, therefore fair"ish". however, the case with botting, is that not
all players will have access to bots. therefore its not fair. and it is also not fair to state that the only way to be successful is by running bots.
this is because the d3 endgame is a ranked/timed event which should be based mostly on skill, not solely the items. it is very true that skill > gear in d3, and definately not the case for d2 pvm.
this is why i say d3 is a players game. not a hoarders game and not a traders game. because the only thing to do in this game is to see how high you can go in GRs. and unlike d2, it actually requires you to play and not just sit in a full 8player baal run over and over.
im talking d2 ladder vs d3 greater rifts here... no need to compare anything pvp related since d3 pvp is simply junk.
by removing trades, you force people to play & to learn, gain skill and unless in a party, acquire their own items. not just pull out the credit card and buy your way to the top. which should be looked after closely when the endgame is what it is.
also, receiving services or purchasing an account with leveled characters would not put you at the top of the leaderboards alone. you need to have skill to be at the top.
and JohnMiller, the amount of people still playing d2 is crooked as shit. how many of the users logged in are bots? i see posts in the d2 jsp section of people asking for 50+ hoz's.... haha, i wonder how few people are actually "PLAYING" d2.
dont get me wrong, i love d2, butdont talk like d2 is gold when it is in fact so broken and outdated. and sry, but these hoz's arent for "upping".
i'm quite certain that there are more online accounts "running bots" on d2 to make a buck than there are real people actually there to play.
it is very clear that removing trades has done something major to d3. proof is in the fact that i cant go to some website, and buy all my top tier items. but like you said, and i agree, there is no way around certain exploits.
i wish me and njaguar were good friends, i get him to bitch slap all you scrubs spamming d3 hate when it isn't relevant to the topic of the thread, lol
