You know, regarding the gems, I think I have another argument against Radiant Star.

I agree with the fact that PRICE should not be a factor whether or not X item is allowed, but the entire point of LLD'ing is to get away from HLD and duel with characters with nerfed stats. With that in mind, how does it make sense to use the same socket fillers as a lvl 60? Regardless of the price, I think we should base the sockets off the level of each one of them. Like Weaj mentioned, the plain gems (after the flawed / before the flawless) says they're ilvl 30 (which makes sense since flawless square are only available in late hell difficulty), so from that point of view, it would make sense to only allow level 30 gems, not because they're non-expsensive / balanced stats, but because that's what the level say it is.

I agree, it makes the most sense

I don't want LLD to be gem-based either. By having the same (low) gems, the strenght of your gear/playstyle will determine more whether or not you will win or lose

This makes 100% sense, but the point of lld is not to give completely level the playing field so everyone is using the same gear and gems.

If that were the case then jewels would never been aspired in d2, and that would have made gearing a d2 char a lot less fun and time consuming (which it should be).

Yes this is not d2 or anything close, but there are some similarities, and i feel that negating the use of higher gems is not needed because it doesn't grant much of a stat bonus comparatively speaking.

The only gem that might need a nerf in my opinion though is one that is in your wep, and possibly one in your helm. those are the only 2.

It probably will be if they don't nerf it.

A blizz rep posted on the forums stating the PTR had some bugs in it. One of which was that the innate 30% cc reduction every player has was not working. So basically, those cc's aren't supposed to last THAT long.

as for your reply, give me time ill think carefully about it and post something thats not retarded.
