Need some advice on my DH (even though it's Hardcore)
Profile: http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Azrayne-2794/hero/22089776

Ok here's the question: I'm starting doing Alkaizers MP0 from yesterday, doing great in terms of survivability but I'm taking a lot of time for clearing a run (about 20-30mins every run).
I'm starting to look for some Dex Mempo/Windforce/Deadman's Legacy in AH, cause I think that with that equip I can farm safely and efficently (even in terms of speed) my MP0 runs.
What you guys think? :O
Oh, and a cool skillbuild for when I buy my Windforce? What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance!

i rarely run out of disc when i need it, and i rarely spam gloom. i dont have that play style.
also, my old weapon was a bow with about 1025 dps, 800 lph, 90 crit damage but loses about 11k dps to my current calamity.

what playstyle do you have? You use ToC meaning you're either vaulting into or vaulting away from enemies in close proximity. Unless of course, you are farming at low MP. Generally, the lower the vit/ar is, the higher the disc should be.

Though I agree Calamity/Manticore is the best budget weapon for a Demon Hunter, we should eventually work towards rares.

If you aren't having survival issues I wouldn't go windforce, get a nice double crit rev bow. Try an Andy's unless you can afford crit mempo. Dead mans is a must but make sure its got high % damage to your skill of choice. Bola shot volatile explosives is my skill of choice it wrecks entire rooms of mobs.

My DH is always a work in progress but my diabloprogress is in my profile it might give you some ideas.

On that double crit bow you will want dex on it as well to use it.
I have a 1267dps ias double crit rev bow that just sits in my stash vs calamity and manticore

How good is that Calamity and Manticore? Bows get the best archery passive so given that all other stats are the same, the rev bow should have the highest dos. Also, lets not get too caught up on sheet dps.

Hi Guys

Great topic you have made here.... :-)

I´m in need of some help with my DH. Its okay as it is, at MP 3-4-(5), but i would like to be able to do higher MP levels with this DH.

Here is a link to my Profile. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Aruran-2121/hero/10781620

I also have a Manticore with 1009 dps - 190 Dex and 180 % Crit ( 1 socket )

What should i do, to make my DH get a higher DPS and or kill faster at higher levels?

Thx for your help Guys.

Not true, my dual wield / manticore / calamity went on AH in favor of Windforce / Rare Rev bows.

Desirable mods on a rev bow =

High Min/Max Damage
ASI (Keep in mind this raises the base attack speed but lowers its damage range)
Dex or Vit
Base Crit
Life Leech
Socket

Big numbers are great but you should be buying weapons based on overall affect on your build, all can be good depending on your survivability and play style. Sheet DPS means NOTHING its all about actual DPS and how much time you spend shooting vs kiting. Good test is to throw Azmo on the highest MP level you can handle and see how long it takes you to burn him down, then divide his hp by the seconds it took. This is a baseline and it will probably vary depending on packs you encounter etc.

I agree with you 100%. I am also a DH enthusiast and would like to contribute what little I know to your thread.

Here is my DH: ~40k hp, ~150k dps, ~450@, 48 disc, legacy nats

Right now, I'm looking to upgrade defense, upgrade weapon etc. Please feel free to critique!!

Attack speed might benefit you, having 2.2+ aps is really nice for multiple reasons including hatred gen, sentry firing rate, and bola spray stacking. You could swap boar for Guardian turrets and get a straight up 15% DR for hatred to conserve your Disc for vault/Gloom and have a nice supplemental damage source as well as far more defense. With my passive setup including numbing traps my spike traps, sentry fire, and caltrops give 20% reduced damage + the 15% from being in turret bubble and another 35% for glooming. You can use the Bait the Trap caltrops for an instant +10% crit and also 20% DR to anything within range as well as a way to slow enemies to retreat (Fallen Maniacs), I spam this constantly as it gives me 23k dps boost and is very cheap on discipline.

This is of course basically using my setup which is a very different play style that doesn't suit everyone, I like all my skills to work well together and offer more than 1 benefit to myself and whoever I'm playing with.

As far as gearing figure out your limitations, mainly legacy nat's. They are ilvl61 so 60res is max, you can get over 200 vit on a shadow though and 170 dex on boots. The helm with crit is nice but with good enough jewelry/gloves you can go for Allres / Socket and throw an 18% lifer in there. If you want at least +10 max disc you gotta sacrifice stats somewhere, I'd go for the cloak since DML can roll 300+ dex 300+ vit that will offer a far better bonus than the extra 125ish vit on a double rolled shadow.

Well Life steal is amazing to have base on your weapon and is 100% more effective than life on hit, I rarely gloom unless i'm tanking multiple affixes at once or just out of habit. Not a huge fan of the Pets except bat, they just don't do much for you. I run 30 max disc and never have an issue whatsoever in my build, 40 is insane and 48 is something I'd expect to see on a non legacy build. Keep in mind you can swap gems to suit your stats, so if you have vit gems in something and get vit on your bow you can switch them to dex.

Unfortunately you get to a point which you are kind of at where significant upgrades cost 500mil or more, and end game gear is in the 1-2bil+ range. Either way looks pretty solid as is so be patient and look for GG deals :D
