Your wizard is fine for mp1-3 xp arcon runs, if I were you I would save some money, because upgrading arcon wizard it's not the route you want to take, you will end up with a good solo farming machine that is not gonna be effective in group play or vs ubers. I suggest you save money for cm/ww wizard, you will need ~300 mill for it. If you don't want to go that route and want to stick to your arcon solo boring char, buy him a new weapon, preferably with some life steal and higher damage.


Yeah was thinking about making it into a cm/ww wizard, what would be the most important
pieces to switch for it to work ? weapons/oh ? how much crit / attack speed is needed etc?

However I suggest you should build an arcon wizard for that money and farm with it untill you save up ~500 mill. Than build a cm/ww melee wiz.

In your case is everything. Backbone of every cm wizard is Chantodo's set and Tal Rasha Armor/Witching Hour belt. I would aim for 2,74 aps (in bubble) minimum, 3,0 aps would be optimal; 45 critical chance minimum, I think around 52-53+ would be optimal; 700 all res minimum, 3500 armor minimum (all unbuffed), 900+ all res 5000+ armor would be optimal; 400 LoH, 800 would be optimal (you can go without LoH but you won't be able to fully utilize this build).

got you after i upgrade that
i should looking for like Trifecta gears right?

and one more question, for those gg cm wiz how can they without loh doing uber or fram

Trifecta are expensive. Your main stats in trifecta are attack speed and critical chance. Critical damage comes last, that is if you have budget for it.

GG cm wizards usually have LoH, otherwise they can't use diamond shards rune on diamond skin.

To get 3 more ias is easy for me
but getting critical chance is kind hard to hit 50+

Is IAS a important stat for archon wiz? I figured average damage and int would be a better stat.

depends on how well geared your arcon wiz is. Budget arcon wizards rely on crit chance/crit damage/average damage/elemental damage bonus more. More high end arcon wizards can add attack speed to that. It adds to your arcon spells damage a lot and it helps you cooldown your arcon spell faster.

I have got a very successful cm ww wizard, it's been created strictly to farm users solo on mp10.
I've noticed that to have almost no problems I had to reach 2.7 as and 55cc.
Another think probably everyone will notice while their dps goes up the only thing that can kill u if u are planning how to freeze all enemies well is reflect damage and lightnings.
I have about 400 all res, but instead of investing more I invested in physical res and run with prismatic armour after elite packs to feel safe in every situation.
The only problem was with act 2 warden but once I got my cc to over 60cc in farming build he is no match for me (scoundrel +3cc)
Loh is a must have, unless you are using ls from magic weapon but even then u may struggle a bit vs reflect, and u loose slot u could use for teleport or time warp bubble
