Ok, it's my turn...help me not die. I'm not sure what the cheapest and best upgrades would be for me. Here is my gear, and the 2 specs I mostly use:

I know my shield kind of sucks...well in fact, a lot of my gear sucks, but as you can see I'm at about 2m and I don't make gold very fast. Is there anything I can do or am I at "that wall" where I have to be rich to progress? I mean, ~600 res all, 53k health and 16k dps with blazing wrath up (with MoC factored in my dps is closer to 26k) and I can kill like 1/3 boss packs in A2. A1 is a fucking joke and I can do 15 minute butcher runs without ever coming close to dying wearing shitty MF gear....

Yo guys how much DPS is neccesary to quit LoH? 60k ? Any godly monk here to confirm?

I'm doing OK with ~40k dps and 400 LoH.

for act 3 60~70k with 45000hp might be just enough. u need decent resist/armor/dodge tho

you need more crit m8, around 25% crit i would say and you'r good 2 go
also change cripling wave with fist of thunder for faster spirit regen, with that being said you can use deadly reach with keen eye. but i prefer not kiting when i am playing monk xD

I'm pretty much never spirit starved...why take spirit gen over whats basically 2-4x dmg from the aoe of CW? plus the snare and attack slow..everything dies a LOT faster. But yea, I do need more crit. It's just expensive as hell. I can't afford to keep my defensive stats up AND take more crit...and I'm already dying pretty much instantly.

Not really sure what advice to give you that won't basically come to "get better gear". I'll just point some random stuff in no particular order:

Attack speed is huge, another 0.3 aps would serve you well.
You have no loh so you can forget about making progress in or past act2 as you are now without some major, tedious effort.
You can find a much better shield for chump change. Have you even tried to look for one? It's not even the right res stack.
I would drop the near death experience crutch and use something like seize the initiative. Another 1300 armor will do a lot.
I wouldn't use the heal rune for serenity as you tend to use it up for heals, instead of true "oh shit" moments or when you need to get some good dps in. Though without any loh, I can understand why you went with it.
I don't really know what wave of light is doing for you, but I'm pretty sure a few hits with blinding flash's damage rune will do more damage than that lol-skill would.

It mostly all comes down to attack speed and loh. You're lacking both. Crits won't do anything for you if you're dying instantly.
With low attack speed and especially cripple, it becomes impossible to kite and do damage to dangerous champs, which probably results in you dying a lot or enraging them.

Keep doing your act1 runs. Forget butcher, just find some zones you know there are elites in and do sweeps of them (ie cemetary, weeping hollow, cursed hold etc). You can do butcher if you want at the end.
If you have mf gear, try and find a goblin running party for act2.
Other than that keep playing the auction house game and get better at playing the monster killing minigame that came with it.


edit: btw you have 6k fg, which is like... what, over 20 million igg now? You have plenty to get well outfitted.
