Life leech is heavily nerfed in inferno (-80%). So if you are leeching 2000 life total (which would take a lot of average dmg, and life leech), in inferno you will only leech 400 life.
Life on hit is much more viable.

Here is something i posted for someone else asking about LEECH vs LOH.

as a poison monk, andariels still has to be a pretty good choice for helm, right? obviously a super high dex/vit/crit chance/res/socket helm is ideal but if i can pick up a 100+ dex 50+ vit 35 poison res andy for <5 mil thats not too bad

Everything would be a good start

I don't really want to get in depth, but lets look at basics, man: you need a spirit generator. You know, the one labeled "Primary"? You have a passive skill that gives you a damage bonus for using more than 1 spirit generator...and you are using zero. That is a 100% wasted skill.
