I agree with him completely. Monk IS overpowered.
There is no other class that can clear the game with as little of an investement as is needed on a monk.

All right close the book on this one then, refuge123 agrees monk is overpowered.

1. Try and upgrade some of your armor pieces to reflect the stats on ur boots. (All ress + fire ress) only with vita instead of int.
After you've done this you can change your mantra to dodge with hard target or backlash whatever has your preference.

2. you could get some life on hit. ~600 will make quite de differnce on a dual wield build. (ofc more is always better.) If you do not like this route you can go for spirit regen or life per spirit spent. I've seen people have succes with that.

3. Also your atk speed seems a bit lacking for a dual wield build. You should look to replace your 1.20 mace and get atk speed on your gloves or jewelry.

4. Furthermore some extra life never hurt anybody.

Why don't you try investing in stats other than MF? You're trying to progress, yet you have 128% MF. Maybe the reason you're dying is cuz you're not trying to survive? Also, why are you dual wielding? I don't see one decent piece of gear on there. And by decent I don't mean worht ~1m, I mean worth like 200k - just something basic with dex, vit, dual res. Also, MF gem? with 22k health? Do you really not know why you're dying?

a little harsh but pretty much all troof, sometimes you cant help getting mf on your gear but sometimes you can definetly make a decision to take % life over mf if you see yourself dying.

The problem is that your perception of monks is very skewed because you already had a HUGE bankroll from your wizard.  If you had made a monk first you would be singing a different tune.

I started as a monk.

Monk is not OP, I am OP.

Agree with all those posters... Damage isn't your problem right now, I solo'd act 2 with the same damage.

You need defense in the form of:
1) resists - your armor isn't bad, but you need around 600 resist all unless your attack speed/loh is high
2) ias/loh - your attack speed is low, this means less spirit regen, and 0 loh means... well... you can't stand anywhere near an enemy
3) vitality - 27k or higher is a good target for act 2

Other options:
4) life regen - this is viable if you have LOTS of it, but your armor/resists must be high to improve the "quality" of your hitpoints
5) life per spirit spent/ias - with 30-60 on your weap, ~30 on your helm + transcendence(62) = 120+ life/spirit spent = 6000 life/mantra activation... but you need to generate enough spirit to keep that up... hence the ias recommendation

As of AH prices right now, your cheapest route is to go resist, life per spirit spent and vitality with low ias stuff (5%)... LOH is expensive, but your have that socketed weapon, so you can put 4-600 on there. Another option is to resocket your helm with a %life gem, but it's not that nice of a helm, so I'd rather change it and get some life per spirit spent... Look into a "tzo krin's gaze" (helm) and a "string of ears" (belt) if you can afford it... a 15%+ string of ears can work wonders! Oh and as mentioned above, your gear aren't OP enough to dual wield... adding a shield can boost almost ALL your stats (dex, vit, res, armor) for like 500k... and the %block will help you avoid damage as well as let your switch out guardian's path for something defensive

You just go on the AH and filter the following:

300,000$

75 Dex
50 Vit
30 all res

- Then filter the items to sort the highest Armor at the top.

- From there, you're looking to buy the best item you see in each item slot that has:

Dex
Vit
single res
all res
+ armor

You can get every piece you own with these basic stats for like 100 - 300k a piece.

With just that gear, and nothing expensive, you can solo Act 2, and probably Act 3 also if you skip some of the hardest packs.
