dude, that critical chance works only for twister but diamond skin - diamond shards and explosive blast - chain reaction have procs a lot too, especially chain reaction with 2,74 aps+ and 45cc+ you gonna be booming a lot when surrounded by 4+mobs and that's a lot of procs to reduce your cooldowns. CM/WW melee wizards got no attack speed to spare, good wizard utilizes all attack speed he can get from items (maximizing ias in each slot possible) to barely reach desired breakpoint (usually 3.0 aps). Now without ring slot you gotta rethink your whole build scraping that 9 ias and 4-6 crit chance wherever it's possible and usually you are going to sacrifice a lot of ehp for that. And if you can get like 9ias/5-6 crit chance/int/all res/loh rare ring - stone of jordan is out of the equation completely, you just can't drop that rare ring for soj ever.

well, your main problem is that you are reaching 2,84 aps in bubble (1,64 chantodo's wand x (63%ias from items + 10%from time stretch) ~ 2,84 aps). Your next step would be getting yourself to 3,0 aps that's gonna require 10 more ias from items. I can see that most of your slots lack perfect ias, that's a mistake most inexperienced cm/ww wizards make at the start. Key to this build is not paper dps, key is reaching high wicked wind breakpoint and get enough ehp/loh to be able to use all offensive skills.

You should decide for yourself where you can squeeze extra 10 ias, because your amulet does add a lot of damage and going for 9 ias version without crit damage will make you lose about 15-20k sheet dps and you will stil have to squeeze that extra 1 ias from somewhere else.

just so you know I'm bored now and I was trolling, soj costs like 200m+ for a half decent one and even then I'd lose my shitty hellfire giving me xp%. ;P

45%cc is the minimum I think, I am at 49,5 and I feel I could use 4-5 more.

Also, I've been told to get more attack speed, but I don't think it would help seeing as I'm having issues with arcane power ( unless AS affects the proc co on twister? ). Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

No big difference, as long as you get to the tick rate you want.

If you aim for 2.74 aps and both 0.24 or 0.25 gets you there, there's not dif.

there is a huge difference if you are trying to reach 3.00 aps which is the next wicked wind breakpoint after 2.74. With 1.65 Chantodo you need 72% ias from gear + 10% ias from Time Stretch (Slow Time rune). 72% is perfect 9 ias on slots like: jewelry (3x9=27%), gloves (9), Chantodo's Force (9), Witching Hour (9), Tal Rasha Armor (9), Lacunis (9), that is 27 + 5x9 = 72.
1.65 wand x (72%ias from gear + 10%ias from Time Stretch) = 1,65x82% = 1,65x1,82 = 3,003. Whereas with 1,64 chantodo you will be reaching 1,64x1,82 = 2,99 which is not enough to reach next wicked wind breakpoint.




I suggest you run arcon wiz with that set of items. As a cm/ww melee wizard yours just wouldn't work at all. You need to reach AT LEAST 2,54 aps in bubble and you are missing ias everywhere. LoH is super effective for cm melee wizards. With just 407 LoH from pants and 2,85 aps I sometimes heal up to 10k hp in a second (considering there are more than 3 targets around). LS is an option if you got some insane 1,66 aps dagger with crit damage and a socket with LS but I've just seen such dagger once and it belongs to the best wizard in the world, so Chantodo's Will is the only real option here.

Again, I suggest you run Arcon Spec and solo farm with it unless you save up to build at least 2,54 aps cm/ww melee wizard.
