i have 2,20% on my monk and i dont feel it... i have like 65k dps *( whit buff ) i do crits of 100-150k very very often and my life is not always full so my maths must be wrong somewhere.

.03 * .8 = .024

.03 - .024 = .006 = .6%

100000 * .006 = 600

so my question is: how much dmg reduce does string of ears (with 20%) actually do vs melee?
is it worth using on monk or is a pure stat/res belt better?

String of ears was by far my best investment... I went from dying in act 2 to finishing it (although I had to up my dps for belial)... And mine were only 17%... The lOh on it was also nice! I think that reduction is unscaled, so even as your resist and armor goes up, the string of ears' effectiveness remains the same...
