I have a question. I want to buy new Lacunis with ar. The problem is they are much more expensive than Lacunis with life. So I tried the calc (http://www.d3rawr.com/ehp) to check the ehp. I found out that 50ar are equal to 69vita in my build. If this is true why people decide to pay much more for Lacunis with ar instead of life? Because of the 20% of Impunity? I am going to use Overpower, so I guess that there is no difference for me if I take them with 69life or 50 allres. Am I right?

All depends on ur setup, 40k life with 600@res is better than 50k life with 100@res. It also depends how much life you can get back in a short amount of period. If u do 200k dps some ppl go only with 3% lifesteal plus the life regeneration from IK glove, vilewards. I'd take the res now if u can make up the life somewhere else.

Yes but think of this, im just randomly throwing numbers out here but

Say on a good crit I average 1000 life back from lifesteal/loh combined

I have 40k life, 800res, Monster hits me and I lose 1000 life, I crit him and heal for 1000, FULL LIFE BABY

Then same instance but with less res, more hp

I have 60k life, 600res, Monster hits me and I lose 1300 life (Since less DR), I crit him and heal for 1000, I lost 300life

Obviously this is a pretty extreme case but you see my point

but at a certain point vita does become better then stacking res


TLDR : Higher DR% (Through more armor, resist) are much better since they work better with any life sustain (Loh,lifesteal,life regen).. but at a certain point vita does become better
