D2 is crap compared to most games, people are just too idiotic/lifeless to realize it. The character classes were NEVER balanced, and it took years for them to even get close. The PvM in the game lacked any challenges, the quests were few and basic. All of the dungeon were basicly the same. The PvP system relied too heavily on items, and this further unbalanced the wealth/item system which was almost completely reliant on duplication. The graphics were nothing special for 2000, and the music wasn't either.

There was nothing extraordinary about d2.

I couldn't disagree more with a post than this one. D2 gave me HOURS and HOURS of fun. It is my favorite game ever next to Starcraft.
