Any suggestions where I should focus on my monk? I'm debating swapping to a Helm of Command for the block %/mass vit I'd gain with a life% socket, but I'd lose some resistances and dex. I've also been trying to upgrade my belt to something with more dex/vit, but again lose res. Is the vitality more important than resistance? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

A couple things I noticed on a quick glance:

I don't suggest using crippling wave. Either use Deadly Reach w/ Keen Eye for 50% more armor, or Fist of Thunder w/ Lightning Flash for Dodge.
Tempest Run is a decent skill, but I think Sweeping Wave is better for crowd control, using the 60% damage rune helps you clear up a bunch of guys really fast.
For your mantra, I suggest using Evasion with Hard Target rune, giving you more defense. The healing mantra won't make much of a difference with your 44k health.

Lastly, stick with the shield since it greatly improves your stats, but for your weapon try to get LoH. You have a socket already, so I would take it out and replace it with a high level amethyst, maybe the +300 one if you can afford for 500k.

also, seems many ppl overlook armor. helps a lot to get that damage reduction number up. 10 armor = 1 res all, so its another factor to consider w/gear

Your stats are seriously almost identical to mine, in fact maybe better, and I didn't have problems with act 3.

What are you having the most trouble with?

I'm not having too much trouble per say, but once in a while I just can't touch elite packs. I guess that's to be expected though. Maybe I just like spending gold and want to upgrade, haha. I feel like I should have to upgrade because I built this on a budget It's weird.

Hahaha, I feel you man, its the need to upgrade.

Some elites are just impossible...I run by some all the time.

Word. I'm gonna do an act 3 run right now and pay closer attention to what I should boost. I think boosting damage would be nice, maybe block % too.

I dual wielded my way through Act 3; shield only at certain parts. For some reason it worked...and the speed and damage output was really high. And both weapons had LoH

Maybe you should give it a shot

Also, do you use blinding flash with Searing Echo? That might help with elites.

I've been using the combination strike to add the 8%, helps a bunch - I'm hitting 40k life 36% block 52% dodge (can reach 60% if I spam mantra) 800 all res 8 armour 20k dps (with buffs but it's 100% up buffs) and a3 is a walk through but I still have to avoid a lot of packs as well.
