Been trying to find something to replace ally with cause the 10% life is now unnecessary so was using sweeping wind blade storm cause I don't want to lose my blindin flash

Exploding palm... I can't use reach because it's just too damn awesome. 1 monster in pack dies, whole pack dies in chain reaction. Also try it on iskatu, it's hilarious, just run in circles and they explode.

Settle down man, take a breath...

I don't know what your definition of "crap geared" is, but as I told you already, I made it to Inferno Diablo on about 3 million pre patch.

It's much more a matter of knowing how to play, rather then having all the best items.  The difference between a 200k item, and a 2 million item is actually a lot smaller then people think.  You can get some pretty awesome Monk items for 200k or less.

you are talking about how economy works , its not in your hand , its formed at how much ppl are able to spend to gear their characters. u cant do anything for that as except to farm you own gear. and that is on contrary on your previous post snobing the fact that i have the gear because i farmed a lot for it and used AH either i had enough cash to pay. In a few words if u dont have the time to farm , cash to spend , how the hell u expect to dress the monk to be good to farm? I have posted before and i will say it again. Monks are the retri paladins of diablo 3 . u have top gear u are god , u have low-medium , u are worthless. Live with this till blizz balances it and give u another option. And please , stop wanting to solo farm act 3 with low dps weapon low loh no socket and no crit/critdmg and short AS. Afterall , its a hack and slash gear based game. No skill required for farm. U knew it , u payed for it.

I find that since i always have to change my range to a target, between Deadly Reach usage and FoL, that Sweeping Wind is often not in range of the target.
Or simply when i am forced to run away from Freezing, Plague, Desecrator, Arcane, etc that often times it is long enough to have Sweeping fall off completely.

Sweeping Wind, i use with my fast dps farming builds, but for progression i do not.
My progression build i also use Blinding Flash... Currently using...

I may be switching to a duel wield centric build due to this nerf patch to Inferno mobs...

Not worth the loss of block or defense
I think just having Dex on a shield brings out more dps and sustain just because you don't have to depend too much on dodge and loh
Simply getting Cc'd will kill you

Using a dodge build with dual wield requires a bit more finesse, but is doable, and some of the people on here have had huge success.

Of course though, the difference between 60% dodge and 70% dodge is HUGE. I can't stress it enough. Where I have had problems with 60-69% dodge, I do not with 70%+ dodge. The game has changed for me because of that.

My attack speed has gone down to around 1.8 APS, and I dumped a junk amulet with attack speed for one with Dex, Vit, and around 450 LOH (500K ftw). That has also made a huge difference. My LOH is over 2k.

I'm going to start dabbling with slightly reducing my damage reduction so that I can ensure I take a few hits, but not so much that my LOH becomes ineffective.

Also, I'm going to dump cyclone strike for dashing strike. Spirit cost and getting out of harms way in some cases are of importance to me. Especially with reduced APS spirit will be more valuable to me.

And...

Crit damage

Crit damage

Crit damage

What is your playstyle? Get in and tank? Hit and run?

It depends. Dual wielders typically do hit and run tactics. Some of the good players just get in there and dodge up a storm while doing massive DPS. I would consider dual wield more equipment dependent.

Shield monks can equip for less. Cost is always a factor.

The game is all about elite mobs, nothing else is a problem right?  So how many elite mobs have you seen in Act 3 and 4 that don't have at least one of the following:  Desecrator, poison, or molten?  If you use thunderclap vs any of those, you are constantly standing where you do not want to be standing.  I agree that at first glance, deadly reach doesn't seem that great.  But having the ability to shift attack while standing still, from so far away, makes all the difference in the world.  I went from having a hard time getting through Act 2, to blazing through the game until I had some troubles with Izual.  Deadly reach was the reason.

Downside to deadly reach as you already mentioned, you can't kill goblins.  But are we talking about getting through the game, or goblin hunting?  Obviously you can switch if you are just farming something.  But for actual progression, Deadly reach + keen Eye is bar none the best skill IMO

I've tried Deadly Reach multiple times and I just really don't like it. Thunderclap is too nice.
