What do you think about having 50+ life per spirit spent on both weapons with 700+ loh?

This with trancendence will give 160 life per spirit spent at least which will be ~ 8k life per mantra / 50 spirit cost skill activating ?

guys. its all about the weapon +shield . top notch items with high dex double stack resists+%life cost some but u can limit ur badget and get medium core ones. Get a weap 700-800dps socket high LOH (crit dmg as well if u can afford) , get a shield with 25+block , 7+ crit and some good stats as well on it, get an amu or ring with ias loh if possible +vit or dex etc and u will see a huge difference. u may be kinda medium on farm speed but u wont die , trust me . and u can party with dpsers to farm at full speed as well.

i have godly gear i rip everythig appart at act3 but even with arround 20%crit and with the weapon i just said +good loh gem +loh amu or ring u will be at least in the position not to die almost at any chance.

First off, all that stuff is just budget, nothing more. You are obviously rich, which means you either play 10 hours a day, or you are quick to swipe the old credit card. But there isn't anybody on bnet who can't rip through inferno on that budget you're talking about.

Secondly, you make it sound like you have to have a high budget Monk to walk through Act 3. You don't. I did it on a 3 million Monk pre patch, and now it's even easier then before. Obviously Monks can cost a hundred million or more if you want all the best stuff, but 3 million does just fine.

600 all res
6000 armor
30k life
16k DPS
1000 LOH
2.0 aps


With that, you can easily beat act 3, and it costs about 5 million. If you want to spend another 95 million to tweak it, go for it

Any ideas how to boost dmg without sacrificing too much defense? Already swapped shield for second weapon (still using resolve, not dodge passive, since nerf i tank just as well as before), and hunting for new tal armor to get 2 attacks per sec...

but it still means ~20k dmg, which is just too slow, mobs in a3/a4 just take too long to kill. 50k sounds more like it, but except for mass crit build no idea how to achieve that - and want that to be a constant damage too.

Currently using ~860 dps/700 LoH weapon + 900 dps/64% crit weapon. I doubt this will be upgraded soon, 100m+ per good weapon is too much

The only way to possibly get high DPS without using the Crit build is if your weapon is super high damage. That will most likely mean, no other mods like LOH, Crit, and probably not even a socket. But you can get the damage.

If you want to use that weapon you have now, 20k DPS is about the best you're going to get. You could probably squeeze an extra 5k out if you tweaked your gear, but you're talking about tens of millions spent to get a few thousand extra DPS.

Post nerf, if you don't use a Crit build, you're going to be stuck with 20-25k DPS even with insanely expensive gear. Most people dropped below 20k remember, and a lot of people like me went down to 15k

Meh that kinda sucks. Also, is the +crit dmg/chance is reflected on that "damage" number in inventory screen? I have 20k on that screen and crits go up to ~35k so I think not... but then again I hate how I can't see exact base dmg my different skills do, only mysterious "damage per second" ffs. Currently with 11% crit chance/114% crit dmg. Would love to upgrade that, but finding items with 5-6 modifiers is extremely hard when we're limited to searching for 3.
