Any reason to not use a black dmg weapon as WD?

i'm new at WD and just abit curious about this so many different opinions :/

its very effective when you use tal amu or tal amu + tal armor, because the % to elemnt dmg works well only with "white/black" dmg (min dmg, max dmg and %dmg), same weapon as black but with element dmg instead of min and max will give you way less dps

Just started a WD for fun the other day. Should I go for a high dps manajumas or a lower dps version with a socket? I have a 100% crit gem on another character.

socket will add 10k-30k dps depending on gear, so yes most likely it will benefit better if you have 40% crit c.

Thoughts? First areas for improvement?

I have a few questions:

• Can the Witch Doctor farm exp/gold/gear as fast and efficiently as the WW Barb?
• Is it cheaper to gear a good WD than to gear a good WW Barb? I mean, if I have 500 M gold and decide to spend it gearing a WD, will the WD be better than what I could've achieved gearing a Barb?
• What are the troublesome elite affixes for this build?

1- on a scale of 1 to 100 in speed of xp/gold/gear combined, wd is a 90 while a barb is a 95. other characters being 80 and below
2- yes.
3- reflects if your gear is really bad, but nothing else.

You said not go over 1.40 aps on weapon.
Does this refer to any weapon for wd in any build ?
