I agree 100 %. There is no reason at all to make d3 to a p2p game, when Blizzard already makes a pile of money on WOW, exampel. I just think, that if d3 is made to a p2p game, many people around the world won't play the game. In my opinion the d2 got very popular because of no fee every month.

Not sure if I would want p2p. I am too cheap..

Why would I want to pay 10 - 15 dollars a month (120-180) a year + a $60.00 game.

And, I don't know how you can compare this a to a telephone bill. A telephone plan can contact people you know irl, surf the web, more than a game, chat and is actually needed in life (the communication part).

I think the author of the topic is comparing two games like Diablo 3 and World of warcraft without realise that there are many differences between this games.

To mantain the huge amount of servers that are needed to support a game as WoW is, Blizzard must invest many money, of course they are generating a great benefit for this, but at the same time think on the manteinance of the servers, technical support staff, GM''s, translators... and a long etc..

A game like Diablo 3 will not be like wow, in the way that the game size in hard disk would not be more than 4g.... that means that is a game that would have less "details" or things, and you will need less recourses to mantain a server of it.

Thats my point of wiew

MMO = Persistent = Fee
NHS = Single Player with online mode = Free

Oh yeah, there's the *cough* e-sport...

Hacks can ruin a SC match, hack can ruin a MMO Quest, you can leave game and use passwords in Diablo. There, game's clean.

first of all diablo 2 is 10 years old and its very easy to make bots in and etc

a brand new game is almost impossible to make bots in.
just because of the source of the game. its not as easy as tele and spam 1 spell

diablo 3 will be way different bots will be WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY harder to make and I for one think blizzard will do a very good job keeping the new battlenet clean from these things

i disagree.. they can monetize the game in so many different ways for the kids with CCs without making it a monthly payment for everyone
