There will be some vets who'll stick around but 90%+ of the community here is gonna peace as far as trading is concerned when D3 rolls in.
Not everyone is stupid enough to believe that you are going to make serious amounts of real money with Diablo 3. Therefore real money will be (for most of the people that is) just a normal ingame currency like D3 Gold. With that being said D3 Gold will be as capable as a currency as real money. Still it is true that the D3 Gold auctionhouse will be a lot more convenient but there are trades that you cannot do with it. Trading between softcore and hardcore is an example. Another example is trading services (characters excluded since characters can be sold with the AH). Another reason why fg will still be useful is because fg will still be used for tons of other games, sports betting, etc..
The thought of d2jsp staying alive but not being used for D3 is bullshit because if d2jsp is staying alive for other games, there will be people who play both, Diablo 3 and other games and these people will buy fg with D3 Gold/Items in order to spend fg on the other games. I've posted so many reasons for d2jsp to stay alive in the past week and all I have yet to hear from the 0fg/2011/2010 members as arguments for the death of d2jsp is "lolol who s gonna get fg instead of real money","lulz there is rmah", "no d2=no d2jsp".
