Is bane of the trapped really useful with pure fire build?

Yes. Why not?
It boosts up all dmg to impaired mobs. Not only physical, but elemental also

Increase damage against enemies under control-impairing effects by 15%.
Upgrade rank grants: +0.3% damage.

What control impairing effect do pure fire builds have?

I'm sincerely curious about this as to whether or not its worth while to have this gem socketed or something else.

Sentry, polar station.

i've come across many players that still use +% sentry damage and the +%pet damage gem
there's no reason to use this anymore right? or am i missing something?

The cluster arrows or multishots (or Wtvr spenders ur using) that get shot from sentries are still increased by sentry dmg modifiers. For your chest/Shoulders, sentry dmg is the best multiplier u can roll.

That dmg is also counted as pet dmg so enforcer is still useful. It may not be the best gem for dh's at the moment but it does work

How is the game these days?
Been a while since I played..

• Still no trading, no pvp
• Rifts, rifts, fish for godlike density zombie grift
• Possible to socket weapons
• Marauder is better than ever... probably
• You're not a trap-assassin any longer, you actually have to shot yourself and even manage hatred! :v
• Sentries only use skills when you do, but you do the major part of the damage
• Frost, fire and lightning are all very viable, physical probably, too
• New set only in patch 2.2, so nothing will change anytime soon
• All in all it's business as usual. Multishot & Cluster Arrow > *.


[e] Oh, we have ancient items. The old legendary/set items with better stats.
But you don't need Tasker & Theo any longer, which is fine.

Yup, as you either use Cindercoat for fire builds or the a3 cache helm Pride's Fall for the other elements.
