archon is inefficient in higher mps but then higher mps are inefficient to farm as well unless youre doing an actual uber run which you really shouldn't be using archon for.

also just building pure dps for an archon is also inefficient i hate when people use sparkflint + magic weapon and pinpoint barrier.

i hit 290k dps with those and i still prefer to go around with 200k dps with just magic weapon blood magic buffing my dps and nothing else.

can't agree with you more, imo, goal of each wizzard should be achieving nice unbuffed dps coupled with perfect surviviability. High on-sheet dps through 3 self-buffs and insta-death from reflect packs doesn't feel right.

Well, people wanting different gear, archon is out and ww seems to be the best build etc
Many different builds

I use archon to farm

cm to uber

from the new patch the only that changed for me is :
new rings/ammy
new stormcrow (can go up to 6.0 crit chance)
some new skills

I farm mp5 with archon uber at mp8 with cm

uber alone?

Is the spectral blade build still viable after the patch update, or is Wicked Wind the obvious way to go? I was thinking of making a full tank wizzie with a lot of armor and damage reduction.

Surely it is cheaper since SB doesn't use any archon power, and I get a nice 5% life steal with my healing blades.


I just need to get more ias and all that stuff then I'm good to go right?
