Garg is a poor choice for this build. Every time you spirit walk/stalker you get miles ahead of him, he has to teleport and then run to hit his next target. By the time he gets there, you've already spirit walked again. He only gets half as many attacks off as he does in "normal" farming. Angry chicken, paranoia, or locusts-pestilence are all far superior choices in that slot. He maybe makes sense if you have poor tanking or if you have only 70k dps, but once you are 100k plus with 30k+ hp there's no reason to use him.

It has been well tested and he takes out on average .5-1 mob per pack no mater the speed, which equates to around 10% xp per pack.

It's a mater of watching him when your running a few times. The main reasoning for it is to have a lazy way of scrapping trash that lags behind.

And it works very effectively though there are other supplemental skills to replace this according to your play style.

i use almost same build except soul harvest - vengeful spirit (get inside the pack - kill em - refresh CDs - run on) and instead of garg i use fetish army - fetish ambush (insta kill some elites and CD refreshes by the time you hit next elites most of time)
bump for excellent and fun build

my char is 88k dps and does alk run in 11-12 mins (could be faster if focued)

Hell all I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at my current setup. All stat's on this WD are completely unbuffed and I was wondering how I might be able to get my dps to 120-140k un buffed. Right now I am sitting at just under 100k unbuffed. MP 1 Alk runs are easy peasy I was just wondering if there was something I could do for maybe higher mp's.

Just a quick question before I go buy one. For Tal's Amulet, it doesn't matter which element the damage is right? 6% Fire is the same as 6% poison, even if you are using a poison attack like Acid cloud right?

As far as increasing your damage, there are quite a few things you could change:

1) Change to a black damage weapon
2) Witching hour for a belt
3) Inna's instead of blackthorns
4) Tals amulet instead of that rare
5) Rare bracers instead of those lacuni's ( since inna's gives you your 12% ms )
6) Ring should have damage on it if possible


I guess you'd have to decide on what balance of damage, life, resists, etc you want to shoot for. But as far as pure damage, those things would give you a big boost.

Hey xu-godx for the 6% poison damage on Tal Rasha's Ammy is it factored in to sheet dps or not until you equip it will you see a change. I have found rare Ammys that add more dps then most Tal Ammys for a fraction of the cost. Just wondering before I start buying gear at 50 million + a pop.

The game calculates the amulet exactly as it would if you were wearing it, including the 6% damage modifier. So when you hover your mouse over the amulets you are choosing from, you will see which gives more life, damage, and protection. It includes all mods on the amulet.

The only thing I am not 100% sure on is, are all element tal's amulets the same? I know for sure that with my barb and wiz they were the same because I tried a few different ones. Fire, poison, light, didn't matter. They all added the same damage. But since my WD is using poison as a main attack, I'm not 100% sure if 6% poison would be the same as 6% fire, light, arcane etc...

I'm pretty sure they are. I don't think it matters which element Tal's you buy, they all give you the same damage. But I want someone to confirm that before I spend gold buying my amulet :)
