Not that hard to achieve if you sacrifice some resistance :p

My gear's aren't godly enough to have all resist on all pieces, but you can easily go over 20k imo. (I'm using the BoH and Reach damage boost 33%)
-without the boosts, it's at 17.5k

Was able to solo upto A2, getting the blood of Zoltun.

**Also, use SHIELDS!!
for me, I couldn't find anything that would add more damage than the shield that I'm using. I guess dual wielders have the dodge boost, but in most cases shield mods are generally better and cheaper
but then again, everyone has different stats and in each cases, what's optimal for you will change.

not at all.. i only have 650 dps weapons and i'm at 13.8k unbuffed dps and after i start hitting cooldowns it jumps to about 16k... if i had 950+dps weapons my dps goes up 1000 for about every 100 dps.. so that's increasting 300dps on each weapon so 3000x2 would give me another 6000 dps and put me at 19.8k.. if he has two 950 dps weapons he can be at 20k easily.

You need a full, coordinated group.. likely if you are in a guild this would be best.. trying to join pub games for act2 inferno and beyond would mostly be a waste of time. If you are a monk or barb, you have to play the tank roll, and i mean you have to sacrifice every ounce of your dps and max out resistances and hp like whoa.. I"m talkin gear with 200+ vit, 60+res all with 40+res to a specific res (cold res in my case) to have 100+ res on each item piece, as much +life on hit as possible.. A gangster shield with 3700+ block for 20%, two justice lanterns would be nice for that +11%block on each with other ideal tanking stats. Use nothing but tanking abilities and passives. The idea is you have to be able to take hits long enough for your party to kill everything I'm going to start building a tanking set and storing it in my bags

Here's the problem.. if you're looking to pick up a gear set like this it willl probably cost close to 20 million in game gold.

no i refuse to believe that it is necessary for me to tank to progress. i'll just take my time..

man i guess my 700+ dps 1h is crap then... only hitting 12k dps with 44k life
a2 is undo-able gonna make a dh or just hell az for gold

i got the same feeling that the gap between a1 and a2 is enormous.

with my 46k life 15k dps and 57%@ i can solo a1 pretty easy (still there is ALOT better gear around (i like to see my dmg with 2x 1-hand weapons with 1.5k dps)

but in act2 all dmg output of the enemies is like trippeled but at least doubled.

i decided to drop armor, because in my eyes its way to hard to stack, and use dodge (dmg which isnt dealt u dont need to heal) which works fine in a1 --> u can use 2 one-handed weapons for dmg and the dodge passive
still in a2 i get hit much more often than in a1 (why is that?)

also the resi which where perfect for a1 doesnt work any more --> i start to think that there are certain steps (like fcr steps in d2 lod) so u dont benefit from more resi til u got to the next edge

Like i said folks.. act2 and beyond isn't soloable.. it would be ideal to build a high end tank set.. but my gear has been sufficient enough so far to take some hits and buy my team some time to kill everything.. i'm using inner sanctuary with the increase duration rune right now to cut off mobs and let me team stand in it so they can freely attack.. it's been working well so far.

act2? lol i find act 1 q 3 and beyond usoloable and people are doing stupid mf runs instead of doing q4
