yeah my weapon sucks. ive been lookin on AH and im not seeing shit...do i need an 700+ dps weapon with good stats or just one of those blues people always throw around?
most of my gear is all res gear, but yeah it has a ton of strength added on. didnt wanna drop below 8k dps. but i guess i was focusing in the wrong direction as to how to keep dps up.
You most certainly did. Your weapon should just be a cheap blue. I grabbed a 750 dps, 90 str, 90 vit for ~200k. However, I suggest you get the highest dps you can afford + a socket.
This way, you can do the usual +life on hit thing with a star amethyst, and have huge dps (with that weapon, strength, and battle rage, you should hit 15k+ dps) & 1k life on hit.
Also, grab IAS/res/vit gloves. They're not too expensive.
I do not play this way(life on hit) though. Personally, I prefer to go completely tanky.
With a life on hit build, you're taking little damage, have lower health, and regen that health quickly. Good for solo play, I guess. You know, until you run into an elite mob.
If you stack vitality, res, and armor, plain life on hit and life regen are fucking worthless (with 60k health, 1k life on hit is half as effective as it is with 30k health).
On the other hand, your barb skills with +life% become twice as effective. revenge spamming with the 30% rune is a must, and inspiring presence regens 1%/second.
This is great for team play, as you should be doing in inferno farming anyway. Let the support characters do the dps.
Ideally, you would have 9k+ armor, 900 all res (buffed), and 60k life, with life on hit and attack speed.
No damage. Because you do so little damage, you don't need life steal%
Now the only reason to attack is to cc (stun with frenzy) and regen.
This build is no good for solo play, but great for keeping elites off your friends while they kite.
Well, there's my two cents.
