more of a joke than anything tbh.. ironside and were are laughing about it. he makes all his smurf LoL accounts using the words best Na somewhere in it lol

It's hard to talk about numbers, 50-50 and "same skill level" when there are about 5 active duelers on each realm that play on a regular basis. Your wizard winning consistently against that one guy that you play over and over again doesn't mean wizard is one of the better classes because you can reliably defeat several of the classes this one guy is playing, and same goes for the other way around. Not because you lose over and over to a WD that it means WD are overpowered.

As for hex, every classes have tools against it. It does nothing vs the 3 ranged classes, monks have a summon and barbs have sprint/wotb+call of the ancient with full fury at all times. What I think is happening is you doing a systematic error. Get better gears and don't make mistakes.

I have about 10+ active lldrs on my list and most of them have a minimum of barb and dh as their chars while some having monks and wizards too. The wizard is so versatile because, as ive mentioned before has several cc breakers and cc skills and has specific skills vs each class that can potentially shut them down entirely. The class is also very mobile and has the same dps potential as the other classes.

@ ironside, i cant really see how u can say orvars wd an mine have a 'massive' gear difference. I currently own the realms best rare bracers for int, realms best belt and focus. Its as if u saw im using 4-8 rings and didnt bother to look further. My dps is buffed is 2k on my defensive spec but can get up to 2.4k currently with glass canon and a second dps buff (magic weapon). I also have 133 res (without using gungdo and hoi), 35 life rep and 11.5k life. Tell me how that is 'bad kid'. I agree my rings need upgrades however there is many ppl competing for 5-10 rings and them buggers always go for it when im sleeping it seems. Reason i dont use as is becuz my primary skill is ray of frost with snow blast and i wanna reduce ap costs. Im actually looking to replace my starfire with a high dps club/spear so i can stack as on my rings. I could turn a page out of you peoples book and say u dont have many active experienced wizard players on us. (From what i can tell from ur armories).

My wizard shares gear with my wizard. So I've I get Ironsides friends OH, and a weapon, my wiz is best geared wizard. I get easy 2550 dps with a bad oh and borrowing one of stars weps (did this to practice my wiz). Oh and btw. That's without the magic buff weapon lol. Waste of skill slot.

Id say your gear is slightly better. Aside from the burger he has on which i let him use and still couldnt get me under 40% health. I really dunno wat dem EU barbs r doing, or maybe our wizards have downs... i unno.

Well the only EU guy u have seen play is Orvar I think. He is pretty good imo and well geared. On eu some are worse than him but some are on his level. My wiz can beat them all. I must admit barb is the hardest along with wd (though i rather fight other ranged then melee with my wiz). But i think you underestimate how much dmg i can soak up. I save my diamond skin for their berseker and i dont waste it on early rends unless im below 50% hp. Also i use nova + ice armor to pretty much kite them all day and allow for many free shots. Ancient spear can be played around. You could say a good barb never misses his spear, id counter saying a good wizard dont let himself get speared. My general setup vs barb is blur/cb/evoc with rof/nova/mirror/hydra/familiar/ice armor. If i feel i don't need the extra dmg i have wave of force or teleport. It depends on the barb build. Some have builds similar like yours ironside, for those id rather have extra defense. Ive also seen ppl copy controllers barb and vs those i take the familair.
There is also alot of other things to consider like hydra placement. How you effectively use the map/range of view etc. Imo any class can compete at the highest level. If I'd have to rank them id do it like this: Wd, Barb/DH, Wiz, Monk. Ofcourse if u have a scarbringer like I do then monk can def do better. However id say this is just a ranking for the point of ranking one. In a real duel with geared ppl who know how to duel the difference between the classes is minimal.

I believe I do win most of our duels (barb vs wiz), but it sure is even. Maybe the wizards on US doesn't know how to play wizard, or maybe the barbs on EU, including me then, don't know how to play barb :[

The difference is far from minimal and I would honestly put wizard at the bottom of the list. Ed and barb are by far the best, some monks and dhs can be annoying. But I have never been remotely worried about a wizard.
