Ok guys let get this straight.

If you QQ about paying 10$-15$ a month to pay to play for a game, I think your living in like 1995 first of all.

The reason im saying this is, I dont want Diablo 3 to end up like Diablo 2.  I.E, scammmers, bots, cheat, hacks, dupes, spam, non english speakin people who are geting paid 1$ a week in a sweatshop because we want that bad ass item.

Ill go into detail.  When a company stops selling there game in mass amounts, they no longer are making decent $$ to support that game, whatever it may be. So charging a small amount every month gives them ability to support it, and solve the problems such as cheaters, viruses, hacks, gold farmers wtf ever...... AND ADD NEW CONTENT, AND FIX THE OLD OFC :)

I personally also wouldnt want the guild wars approach either,...... coming out with an expansion every time someone cries so they can support there non paying game.

If Diablo 3 is not pay to play, I give it a few months before it turns into the shit hole that d2 did.

Opinions? Flames? Donations :) ?

Diablo 2 was not shit after 5 months ur wrong.

A monthly fee will not reduce the number of bots that spam in your game.  I've seen far less spamming bots in Guild Wars in the main and beginner cities than I have in WoW and FFXI.  I think it has to do with the developers caring more about their players and wanting to keep the environment free of spammers and botters more than anything.  Guild Wars is free to play, and they have managed it just fine for the past almost 6 years and they host more events than WoW does.  Every single weekend something new.  On top of that when I played WoW I've noticed that the events give you such little to do, and such little for your reward as apposed to GW.  So I highly doubt a monthly fee will effect much other than the income of the people who work on the game.  You can counter the argument by telling me that it encourages better game management but you are factually incorrect.  WoW has been the same shit for the last 6 - 7 years.  Just like Guild Wars.  WoW has bad events and not enough of them that do not give very much in return.  Guild Wars does.  WoW has a shit ton of spammers even to this date.  I go for months at a time on Guild Wars with out seeing any spammers.  -shrug-

Believe what you want I guess.  I think I've said enough.

Believe what you want. That same statement works for you ^_^

Believe it or not, monthly fees DO help. I want you to count every spam bot and botter in general while sitting in a city all day when playing WoW. Keep that number in your head.

Now, multiply that number by 100. That is how many bots would likely exist; maybe even more.

And, not to mention, the game would have ended...2 expansion packs ago without P2P.

And GW isn't an argument. That game has a miniscule player base compared to WoW, as do any and all other MMOs you compare WoW to. If you put the player-to-bot ratio the same for any of these games, you will notice a similar number of bots, but still likely less. Why? Read below.

Botters go where the money is (I'm speaking of spam bots). There is little profit to be made in GWs for botters; there is a lot of profit in WoW, on the other hand.

Blizzard is a "pedigree" developer. No matter what game they develop, botters and sellers will target the game.

Ok Josh, first off I would like to officially call you a moron. There will still be some sort of hacks, even with "paying cash."

Paying to play does NOT stop ANY bots/glider in WoW or any other game. you can create COUNTLESS free accounts that spam for sites, and also sell gold from guild banks. This is common place. And even if you couldnt do what they do, the gliders DONT get stopped. ive ran and still run one since 06 (updated ofc), still have my OG account also.

Thinking that this in ANY way will stop the spam and bots and all that bullshit in diablo 3 is mindblowing. (will you ban anything that leaves and joins games fast? that would be the ONLY way to stop a bot, and then youre just fucking over users *aka d2 temp ban* ) We all know theres ways to get around any and everything they'll toss at you.
(shining example, the blizz authenticator = joke)

This will never dissappear. too many people out to make $$$ off of it. Besides, blizzard loves these people, they rebuy the game, more money for blizzard. Banning people is just a cashcow.
and besides, youll always be able to find sites like this and others that people sell cdkeys and whole accounts on. This is just how these games are. Youll allways see someone saying " WANT ITEM BEST'S??? GO SITE HERE. www.buttfuckblizzardbyusingbots.com" (spelt wrong for emphasis) Its a never ending circle, its why people pay $300 bucks at the start of a ladder season to flex allllll over diablo 2

It will be free to play.

You need live people to monitor in game chat/play/etc... No program or system is as perfect as a live person being able to tell the difference between bullshit and legit playing.
Im guessing that underline below the word "will" you used was to emphasize how much you want it to be F2P?

Fuck off troll.
