High APS + High CC is one of the most important parts of monk gearing. If using cookie builds, high aps + high cc gives you loads of cyclones. And it makes your Tclapping animation faster which is a huge intangible benefit of having high aps.

Also, for cookie bell builds, it makes difference in spirit generation. Higher asp -> more spirit generated -> more bells to throw down -> higher dmg.

For nirvana builds, higher aps = more wall of light to be dropped = more dmg.

The paper dps will be lower with 8-9IAS than with +40 cd usually, but the effective dps is higher.

not to mention LoH is sup4er effective wiht high APS - imagine 3 attacks in 1 second where each attack heals 500 hp. that's 1500 hp a second which is basically GODLY since you can recover 50k hp in like 2 minutes by just attacking
