Aye, more tornado's. Those "250k ub imba dpsers" sporting 18% ias and 45% cc with EF and no WKL i've played together with don't plow through packs faster me who's rocking a puny 182k ub dps, tho i have 68% ias, 52% cc using a dagger + WKL. As you guessed it's because i'm spawning significantly more cyclones than he is, melting packs both faster and in a wider area of effect. Not to forget the extra spirit leading to more skillspam. Gotta look at the stats of a item and how it'll improve your class/spec, can't go by dps alone. On screen dps isn't everything, a guideline at best. Some damage can't be calculated, like the difference in specs i just described.
this is clearly much more then just 4% crit chance vs 40% crit dmg on a nats ring being factored in in your story.
with everything being the same there isnt going to be a huge dps diffrence between 48cc/400 crit dmg and 52cc/360 crit dmg
1 fot/tc set = 5 hits
48% crit = 2.4 crits per set
52% crit = 2.6 crits per set
each hit = 75% proc
1.95 vs 1.8 nados per set
so multiply these by 5 and you have 9 vs 9.75
soo in summation, if you have 48% crit chance, after 5 full sets of fot/tc you have 9 nados and if you have 52% crit chance after 5 full sets you have 9 nados with a 75% chance of having a 10th one.
though this is just an average and only factoring vs 1 monster, the game itself is rng, so its possible that you crit 5 times from just one fot/tc set and its possible each of those crits proc a nado, its just not likely to happen very often.
