Hey guys im trying to work my way through inferno, im slowly working through act 2 at the moment. Figured i would come to you guys and see if im doing something wrong or what i should change.

i have about 3-4 million to spend on a new 1H weapon and im not sure what a good amount of LoH on a 1H is and what other stats i should be looking for? is LoH going to be nerf when IAS gets nerfed? if so should i wait to see if a patch comes out this coming up week before purchasing?

i sacraficed some resist and dex for string of ears to get the 10% dmgreduce and tzo for ias (thought it would be worth it)... additionaly to get a decent dps boost with some kind of lohboost or without it i would need to pay about 5m gold.. and i simply dont have that much gold

same i sacrificed a 42 fire res 40 all res for a string with 42 total res but it turned out fine tbh since res diminishes

What's gonna happen with the IAS nerf in the upcoming patch in terms of gearing/general play for the monk class?

LOH is only as good as you make it; there's nothing being said about nerfing LOH, but -if- they nerf IAS by just reducing the amount on every piece, LOH will suffer from people having slower attacks. But it's still tbd exactly what the ias nerf is



As ^, noone knows exactly what the IAS nerf will be, but suffice it to say a nerf to a strong stay will likely lower our DPS, our spirit gain or LOH gain or all 3.

Your monk seems rather glass cannon; resists and HP are low but damage is pretty respectable (in comparison to the rest of the gear)
You don't seem to have a set choice on your resists; ie choosing which one to dual resist and making sure most of your pieces give dual resists

You literally have 75 more dex than my Monk, but half the damage, half the resists, and 1/3rd the health. Might be worth swapping your Dex gems out for some vita and focusing on resists a bit to get them to 800 or so.
Your Ias/LOH are pretty low too, which would make spirit generation and keeping yourself up difficult I'd think. are you having troubles sustaining yourself in combat either with transcendance mantra refreshing or just taking too much damage?

I've been trying to find some LOH/IAS gear but most of it is so demanding in price, I will swap out my dex gems for Vita ones to start.
My resist set choice is arcane, i've been slowly attempting to replace them with the arcane/all res gear.

Act 1 is pretty easy, i've been doing Butcher runs with no real problems, but now that im trying to progress through act 2 im starting to have trouble.

the biggest obstacle for a monk in act II is finding the body parts of kulle imo but if you can do that fine you'll have no trouble at all
