Lol. I could actually understand that. No, Vanilla is so not my Wizard's name.

I wasn't being completely serious anyways. If we're talking "final" builds, I'll throw out the idea that energy armor may not even be needed. As I mentioned in my earlier post the prismatic is doing you about as much good as force armor at this point anyways (not much). Dropping from 8000 armor to 5000 (approximate loss of energy armor's 65% armor buff) would cause you to take 37.5% more damage, but this might be negated since 1. some of the future legendary items may have more armor or more damage reduction vs elites, and 2. you may be able to add another skill to kill stuff faster or survive longer (archon definitely comes to mind)

does nobody uses ray of frost cold blood? easy 215% dmg without arcane cost

It's a channeled spell. You can't kite with it, sir. No good for inferno.

Few things here.

This build is very good, but I highly suggest frost nova over diamond skin for most situations.

Also, you NEED 23-25% runspeed. 12% is nice, but please trust me. 23-25% movespeed is insanely important.

Here's what you should use:
------
Boots: Boj Anglers with at least 50 int, 80 or so preferrably
Pants: Hammer Jammers with at least 50 int, 50 vit, 2 sockets (you can snag these for 200k with decent stats if you're patient)

Ring: Unity with int on it (and attack speed if you're lucky)
OR
Bracers: Lacuni Prowlers
-----
This will get you up to at least 23%, which is perfectly fine.

Reccomended stats:
30-45k hp
30k damage
2.5 attacks per second
23-25% ms

My stats for comparison:
40khp+, 325+ res, 43k dmg, 23% movespeed, can solo most of inferno.

This build will soon be second-rate. Blizzard has announced that they will be changing the way Inferno mobs damage you.

That said, we also wanted to let you know we’re keeping a close eye on Inferno. The intent of incoming damage is that it should be a very consistent drain on your health

In the next patch: From now on we will put 40 instances of reflect damage on every monster in inferno, remove potions, and reduce life generation to 10%.

Guys... Inferno isn't meant for people with bad gear.

Belial, Rakanoth, and Diablo aren't exactly easy, but other than that if you aren't soloing inferno right now as a wizard its because either you aren't good enough or your gear isn't good enough. Or both.

Several wizards have done all of inferno. You can even do most of it with 30k or so damage.

Just a thought I had today while playing a2 (or well - trying to):
My general observation was the same as in the latter stages of hell (without level 60 gear!). Everything that doesn't get to me is no problem at all. This works regardless of what skills you use. In fact, now please bear with me as this is just theorycrafting, I think, using Disintegrate / Archon might kill those mobs (elites, champions) that are slow, far faster and better than Blizzard / Hydra. For obvious damage reasons. You can easily pair those spells with the passive temporal flux to make the number of enemies that won't reach you even bigger. In fact, this is how I played most of act 1 inferno as well.
Now however, with whatever skillset I use, the enemies that will certainly kill me at least once are those, that are faster than I am. I mean, Jailer / Waller and the thingie that moves you towards them might just hurt you as well, but I don't fear them as much as just very, very fast mobs. That might be subjective though.
However, and I will give it a try now, an easy way to avoid faster enemies might be Slow Time. Paired with other movement impairing effects (Temporal Flux, Blizzard, whatever), you might cripple an enemies movement.

Anyone ever had any luck with it?
