That's true. But that's true for every currency when D3 comes out. Items that are as rare as Shako will be worth tons of D3Gold, Fg, $$$, whatever... And 6 months later it will be worthless.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but overpaying for an item means you're paying too much for something that's worth little.

If a shako, for example, were to drop at the beginning of a new ladder it is not "overpaying" for it if there's only less than 10 in the game. The item is worth that value.

Over 6 months period there will be thousands of shako. So OBVIOUSLY the price of it will drop as supply > demand.

You're not overpaying for anything at the beginning of the game. You're paying to get ahead.

as if it matter if its rm or not, with just gold tradeing jsp would also not be NEEDED which was the point actually

rm just fucks pocketmoney from some kids up

Just having an auction house will hurt JSP A LOT. No more need to use jsp to find a trade, its as easy as looking it up in game and clicking [buy or bid im sure there will be both] and POOF you have the item.

Jsp is bid bid bid [or bin] then trade and HOPE that this person wont scam you.

Then you add in real money which is how FG got on jsp in the first place. People will probably use jsp at first to get rid of the fg they have then will slowly die and wow and other games will take over jsp.

I'm not saying JSP hasnt done good but its done a lot of bad along with the good.

I'd rather have the buying power to get something I need as I'm playing the game for the first time (we all know this is the best time to play), than to wait 6 months before I find something for a 'deal'...
That's just me though

The problem with that is you don't know all the items yet, so for example you buy "SUPERSEXYSWORD" for like 5 bucks, then later you find out there is an even better sword, you just wasted that 5 bucks, I personally don't think the RM AH will be that popular at first until people learn the items/values.

Ye, seems like most people with less than 500fg here are thinking so. How surprising. ~~
I have stated many arguments in other threads why fg will still be useful and you guys just act like it's a fact that d2jsp will die which doesn't need any reasons or arguments.

Fg will be useless in D3. That is what everyone I think is saying. D3 will have no use for fg other then cross game transfer like sc to hc. Now other subforums will probably be uneffected if they choose not to play d3 and just stick with their subforum like runescape. But D2jsp will not be the main method of trading like in d2.

What I purchase the first week obviously won't be the last purchase I make for that slot. However, it should surely help me be better and enjoy the game in it's infancy. That's what counts anyway right?

Am I the only one who thinks "buying gear" and "enjoying the game" are mutually exclusive statements?

That's like saying no one will pay 1000fg for a sig shield at beginning of ladder.

Take FG, trade for gold (those that dont use irl money)
take gold trade for items
take items trade for money
