idk wtf your saying... i was just about to copy and paste the "We would never do something like say to get the full game experience, you'll have to pay extra."

What I said was clear. One of the head directors said at an interview (which dates 2 years SOONER than that quote) that they cannot verify whether the game will be pay-to-play.

That quote which you were going to mention (which coincidentally you did end up quoting) is an empty promise. It's their way of saying that they give you what they think they should be giving you. They are saying they give you good value for what you pay for. That means if the game is pay to play, and you ask them about that quote, they will say "Well yes, we do believe you're not paying anything extra for the full game experience. You are paying exactly the right amount for the game experience, as the game is intended to be played." You do see how the quote fails as any solid promise I hope.

I wish they would simply announce that in North America the game is unequivocally and certainly going to be free-to-play aside from the box purchase.

then im not gonna argue about something with no evidence...
theres a lot of reasons that it wouldnt be p2p but i dont have a video with a blizzard staff directly saying it will not be p2p, and im not gonna look for 1
the "pay extra," could be the pay monthly... or in some peoples eyes it couldnt be the monthly payment

I honestly (if it did go to P2P) don't see it hitting 15$.
It's not as in-depth with graphics or content such as WoW.
I would judge it around 8-10$ monthly.

The graphics have already shown to be way more in-depth than wow. In saying this I'm in no way assuming if it would be P2P it would be the same cost
as wow. The story line in WoW is unlike anything ever in an MMO hence it being $15/month, d3 won't even come close in comparison with its storyline.

Honestly if Diablo 3 becomes pay to play, I'm going to take all my Blizzard games and put them in a big pile. I'll douse them with zippo fluid, and light them.

I'll then take my Blizzard account with all my cd-keys attached to it and I'll change the email and password to something that I will never remember.

The only game I play from Blizzard anymore is Starcraft 2. I played Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 so obsessively and so much that I just am too tired of them. Starcraft 2 I can live without, though I do enjoy it somewhat. It will just be sad if Starcraft is the only section of their games that is not tainted by pay-to-play. Warcraft 3 isn't, but they've already ruined the Warcraft genre with pay-to-play in general.

With Bnet 2.0 which I dislike and disagree with, and a lot of the features they've added to Starcraft 2 which I think are ridiculous (facebook connectivity, rewards for achieving trivial tasks, still no chat system despite the game being out for so long, etc, etc)... I'll be glad to stop buying Blizzard stuff. But if Diablo 3 is free-to-play past the one-time purchase of the game, I'll be fine with it all. Just wouldn't be able to stand a company that knows a game is going to be pay to play, but doesn't say anything about it until the last minute so they can get all the customers super excited, and try to draw in as many people as possible and hook them before they realize what they're doing; so if it's announced pay-to-play at the last minute, I'll be pissed.

Sure you will. Do you think these random, magical, fictionate, "threats" do anything?

It's not a threat. And I'm not posting this in any place that Blizzard actually looks. It's simply what I'll be doing. I no longer play Warcraft 3 nor do I play Diablo 2 since they are just old to me now... I've played them to death. And Starcraft 2 I just rarely play already. I don't play WoW because it's pay to play (never have played it). So if Diablo 3 is pay to play, I have no reason to have a Battlenet account at all.

I provided direct video evidence of Blizzard saying in mid-late October at Blizzcon 2010 that they cannot confirm whether or not Diablo 3 will be pay to play. They said it is undecided at this moment in time.

If you're not going to provide your piece of evidence, that's fine. I'm not arguing with you. I'm stating facts. Leave arguments to opinion, not to fact.

If you read my initial post, it's quite clear that I don't want the game to be pay to play. And I make it quite clear that I think it would be detrimental to their sales if they made it pay to play. However, I'm not arguing opinion! I'm stating a fact: As of the October 2010 Blizzcon, it is undecided as to whether or not Diablo 3 will be pay to play in North America (or anywhere else for that matter). If you can can provide some more recent evidence, that would be great.

In 2008 they stated their company motto of "We don't believe the customer should pay extra...". Well they have WoW don't they? In WoW the player isn't "paying extra" by their view. The customer is paying for the service they provide. So the same could apply to Diablo 3. By saying "we don't make the customer pay extra for the game experience", it simply means they don't make them pay anything more than what they believe the price-tag should be. It's an empty promise. I've said it time and time again.
