The beacon with blind is probably a good solo playstyle. Seems almost a waste to use a passive on blind, but if you use on ever CD its worth it. I am looking forward to weapon hunting (hahaha...) but really looking forward to trying out WotHF.
Yeah. I don't really recommend EF for monks these days because no matter how much dps you have, the fear proc will annoy you in a full party game on mp10. And not just you, but your group mates. lol
As for the beacon passive just for blind, I get that a lot from other monks. But when you don't have to use OWE, the last passive is a free slot. You can use whatever you want to use along with combo strike/sti.
I don't need any other great defensive passives like pacifism/resolve/owe/etcs.
And if I'm not using a big spirit spender like bells, I don't need any spirit passives either. So, there aren't that many options for me to choose from actually.
So, to boost the edps as high as possible, I tried a lot of different skill combos and for solo, blind + beacon is the best choice for my monk.
So, it really depends on your playstyle/gear.
Try different stuff and use the one that you like the most man! Have fun!
