Tanking everything in mp10

After playing without ef for more than a month, I just cant use it anymore. I gain like 40k dmg with ef but edps is lower the elites fear away so much.

Time to finally upgrade my 4month old nats ring lol

And gotta craft 300 more ammy. Will wait til next patch. Stupid clicking.

Very interesting. I am going to try w/o my ef, but yeah its definitely a 43k dmg loss. The fear is annoying me pretty bad with ef. Wish monks had a way to keep mobs in place. Im also going to be trying the 7% elite reduction as well and see how that goes.

Yeah litany 9/7 lets me to keep my all res low. Which lets me to drop owe. This gives me an option to run two passives for any builds.

For solo, I can now go sti beacon combo with speed palm. For party I can go sti combo guiding light. Not having to use owe is the key for high end monks. It brings up the effective dps not paper dps. I can get my unbuffed dmg up to 300k with ring/ef. Whites are fine since they just melt down, but some elites are just very gay to deal with since they fear away forever. Can't use the palm effectively on them.

A good way to gauge the enough ehp for monks is testing on mp10 kd2. If you do not get 1 shotted by fallen maniac and molten explosion, you have good enough ehp.

With WKL, Effective DPS goes higher. If I was using a random rare with LS/CD It would be about 294kdps. Otherwise if I really wanted to go DPS crazy I could get a mass dmg quadfecta ring+use higher LS/CD rare and get to about 340-350k dps lol. There's no point though, need to keep EHP up as well because that is half the battle, if not more.

I recently got a sword to try out the palm build.
I lose 67K paper dmg if I use sword + WKL ... but the WKL brings it back to up 290K.
It does feel different when mobs are not running around.
I guess it good and bad.
Its nice when I can fear the elites to corners and pound on them.

Jin, I just tried the 2 x regen + bell + palm + overawe + cyclones.
It works good with the sword & WKL ... palm then bell and all dead when they explode.

With the EF & Sword ... it still works, but fear is annoying with palm.

So whats a decent build for a monk, any links?

Yeah, bell works alright with the palm too. Especially when you can deal high burst dmg to instantly kill them.

It won't work well with mid lvl guys though since the bell just kb the mobs.

And yeah, EF just doesn't work well enough with the palm to justify the sheet dmg increase.

But the better the ef the bigger the epeen!
