IMO, axe mainhand and echo offhand

1.51 x 1.92 = 2.8992

echo and dagger

1.71 x 1.92 = 3.2832

same speed 10tps, though the dagger can hit nearly 12 tps (3.33334-4.00000 aps ) if you get more ias on gear

As it is, I recommend axe mh / echo oh though





This is why I always recommend barbs to get 8-9 lifesteal, you can see 300k+ dps buffed barbs with 3 lifesteal, its cool its enough for 90% of all mobs, but it gives you issues vs reflect, health link, and imagine reflect health link goat shamans with the shield up TROLOL. Also a lot of high dps barbs take a big shit on their ehp which gives more issues with reflect etc. Its all abt finding a good balance, kinda like detox does.

I've been reading this whole thread and am slightly confused. Would you guys recommend stacking ias gear (over crit-damage) in order to reach breakpoints? I know that ideally, it would be best to have both but it depends on total budget.

And if anyone could give me some simple suggestions towards gearing, it would be more than welcome!

yes, you are right. For WOTB. I will use Axe and EF, I think it's best for me.

yes EF also increases your mh aps and overall dps for other attacks like hota / bash etc while dagger wont. I truly believe as of this patch, there are no better choices than axe or mace (i am of the mace voting side) / ef for weapons, since you can easily reach 10tps with them too. ANd 10 tps is already overkill imo.

So, when I do lvling alkaiser runs, I do change my skills to ww/weapon throw barb set up since it's the fastest.

I did pick up some cheap EF + threehundredth for this and I get like 2.56 aps for both weapon with my current gear.

Is this good enough to keep the wotb? How much aps should I aim for to be wotb for the entire run? Is it better to do the run on little bit higher mp than 1?

yes mace/EF is the best combo atm. both weapons being 1.4x base

i dont even go for 10tps.. altho I would if I had an unlimited budget

2.5aps in wotb is plenty for me.. rather focus on other stats then ias.. especially since I use a SOJ so I cant use 2 ias rings..

but.. 10tps with soj would be AMAZING if i could keep the same other stats..
